WHO WOn?

 

An NSX won, but then was disqualified, so the 2nd place 350Z was declared the winner. The ORANGE car with the "weird side windows" is a (Ameritech) McLaren F1. It was by far the fastest car out there, but had mechanical problems and had to be towed off the race course.

I ran HPDE at California Speedway road course with SpeedVentures on Fri. Dec. 17. It is a great, high speed track. Running on part of the Nascar Oval was incredible. Had a great time driving.

Not only that, but the JGTC drivers were running practice races in preparation for the big event on the weekend (Dec. 18 & 19). During a long lunch break and in the evening under the lights after Speed Ventures was done, the JTC cars flew and screamed down the Nascar Oval. Had a great view from the stands.

There were several other EVOs in HPDE, but none from JGTC. John Mueller and Kent Jordan were there with Kent's car. Robi was there and so was the Sparco car. Aaron Bitterman brought his EVO too. It was a great day!
