The 818 kids run the show now. The only thing im good for is setting up HOOTERS meets. Show of hands for a Saturday lunch hooters meet in Burbank.

 

ok...how about this Friday, or this Thursday..around 7-8....someone pick a venue, an actual time..and let's make it on thursday

Its usually tough for me during the week.....down for a Sat meet though...Stillen this weekend....anyone rolling?

 

you seem to be infactuated (spelling?) with "old school" 350 guys" you always bring up old school. what did you guys do that was so special that you bring it up every time we try to set a meet? dont take it the wrong way.....i met you guys and It was a pleasure.... but im just curious.

btw any new mods since that burbank hooters meet?

 

Infatuated may be a little strong and I use "old school" as a loose joke and by no means want to put anyone out. That being said there was a time when just a few Z's roamed the highways and the meets maybe consisted of 3 or 4 cars. Much has changed and many new faces have come into the ranks making the scene that much better. A few of the guys have become very close personal friends and "old school" or "old schoolers" is more to identify them. Cant blame me for wanting to get the old friends out ya know, especially if im the one asked to put a meet together. Its not what we did thats so "special" its more just to identify........besides why do WWII Vets get to be the greatest generation? Its just a self title. Who cares?

As far as mods go.......Im about to pick up another car so ive been holding off some of the mods for right now. Im thinking the 3.9 final is what im up to next. Now that the Z is retired to the garage I guess the possibilities are endless.

 

There aren't alot of us old schooler's when I started this thread. We started meeting up at local bars in the valley and burbank area. We would have local runs through the canyons with Z from 213,323,626,714. Grand opening meets at local speed shops as well. We have had alot of meets in the past but with work being so busy and different schedules it's been hard to get a good meet started.

Theres a place up in Northridge called plush pocket. Local pool hall that has a bar and lots of parking. I'llo post a date and time in the near future.

I want to say the 2004 nationals was one of the worst meets ever..........Dozer got sick and didnt come and me and Guss stood out in the rain all day. Every time we would dry the cars off another cloud would pass by and rain on us. Thats where I met Ed for the first time.
