Default Selling my car to out-of-state guy, have a question

I need some advice, I have looked all over the place for the answer and I don't really want to be put on hold at the DMV for 2 hours...

Does anyone know, is it legal to sell your car to someone with an out-of-state driver's license? I am selling my Maxima to a New Jersey guy who just moved here to socal (and buying a Z of course)...

Please don't answer if you're not certain... I don't want to get screwed for this.

Hey,

You can sell to anybody!!! It doesn't matter where the person lives.

I have bought two vehicles in the last five months, and I live in San Diego with a Texas DL. Sell it to them, and you'll both be happy.
