Well, it was just one of those shows.. another lesson learned.

Talk about disorganization! Man, parking ***** trying to get us to roll-in one by one and not as a group, as well as sending us in the wrong direction once we did get our tix and sheets!

The show was itself was small, probably less than 150 cars. One mexican food vendor, and one lemonade stand. The drag races were fun, but we got held at the cars waiting for the judges until nearly 8pm. The show was supposed to be over at 10, which is when they started the 4 girl bikini show.

I left after waiting as long as I could, 1145p!

CONGRATS THOUGH.. to roughdragon (joe) who won 2nd place 350z & JDM_V35 (David) with 2nd place in G35. Oh ya, they were supposed to awards 1,2,3...but I guess they "rebudgeted" at the last minute, so only 1st and 2nd were awarded. Enjoyed meeting the new guys, and hope that this show doesn't turn you off. Their is always a little disorganization on behalf of the promoters, but not to the point where half the show leaves before trophies are awarded!

Anyway.. pix to come, I just packed up to fast and can't figure out where I stuck the camera! Besides, there wasn't much "talent" there.

Joe, I have your trophy and will bring it to Pomona.

Congrats to the guys who won. I am not surprised that they were disorganized and cut trophies as well... I have been having issues battlieng with their race director over what a Media Publication is...

 

When is the next show?

 

The show itself was ran pretty bad but it was nice meeting you guys.

 

Next show (and oh so much better in organization!) will be Extreme Autofest on sat 8/13. I will be starting a thread here shortly for sign ups.

One good thing, if you hae not already heard, was that two members of Transport (Eddie and Ruben) where interviewed for the Speed Channel (not sure which show.. may be the street tuner challenge/lifestyle segment). Anyway, I met with the production manager and director and they will probably meet up with us at Extreme. They need a contact to advise them of all the events and assist with media credentials.. so we said we could handle that!

Also, look for Roughdragon's 350z, as they selected that for their "segway" model (the one that says, we'll be right back... or I love Street Tuner blah blah blah" Anyway, they shot his car and his GT Motorsports eyebrow. So he should be asking GT Motorsports for some free air fresheners or something if it makes it past editing!

Both those are Generation 1 of Transport, prior to Eddie and I rebuilding the team after 2003.

Not sure who's ride the first one is.. The second is Ritche's, the original founder of Transport.

Neither of these folks are active with the Team anymore. If they were to return, they would have a home... but their new rides would need to live up to Team standards.
