Default 9/4/05 Steel Madness "Gun racing" at Mr Twisted's range (pistol shooting)

As usual on the 1st Sunday of every month (in addition to the 3rd and 5th), Mr. Twisted holds his famous Steel Madness timed target shooting matches. This Sunday, 9/4, is Ron's birthday match. Prizes and root beer floats will be plentiful.

I havent been out to the range in a while and I figured this would be a good time to go, not to mention wish Ron a happy B-Day. For those of you out there who have gone before, you know how much fun this is. If you havent been, you dont know what you are missing!

You dont need to own your own pistol (although I would highly recommend it), but what you will need is about 200-300 rounds of ammo and about $25-30 for the match fee. If you bring your own pistol, make sure to take all your extra mags. Some stages will require between 50-60 rounds! If you dont have extras, bring your gun anyway, Ron usually has extra mags of most makes and models. Sunblock would probably be a good idea too.

If you want more information on what "steel madness" or "gun racing", go to Rons site: http://www.ssashooter.net/

Hope to see some of you guys out there. My advice, go early, its gonna be a hot one!

Address:
14995 River Rd.,
Corona, CA 92880

One more piece of advice, the last 1/4 mile to the range is on an unpaved road. Most people still take their Z's, but this is fair warning

Dude, I just moved to Cali a few months before getting sent overseas for a year. I love shooting Bianchi Cup and other timed courses of fire, but i didn't have time to put my ear to the street and find a place to do some real shooting before i left. You all are a little bit of a drive from me, but when i get back in january, i'll definitely have to knock the dust off of my skills at the local indoor range, then come on down there.

Mrs. Twisted here - thanks Scott for bringing this up to the group. I hope you can bring Han Zolo, Duy, and the ladies. Even though they don't own Z's anymore we'd love for them to come out. This Sunday will be 7 stages of "Steel Challenge". A national speed shooting event.

All peeps are welcome whether you shoot or not. Come look and talk to the SoCal "Gun Racers" and join in on the Root Beer Floats.

For those who don't have guns we have many guns to borrow. Later on this year we will be having a "My 350" Steel Madness fun shoot for the beginners.

For a map to the range or to get more information check out our website www.ssashooter.com or call 909-720-5962.

P.S. Duke says to bring Han and Erica

You can shoot whatever ammo you want I believe as long as its through your own gun. I dont think Ron likes to shoot Wolf through his guns if you are borrowing. Ron has a ton of glock mags so dont let that stop you from coming out!

If it's safe ammo, we shoot it. Except AP (armor piercing) it's bad for the targets. Ya a lot of you guys (25) shot at the last My 350z GTG in Norco. If you were at the last GTG where Jenny @Performance was photographed shooting a 50 BMG Barrett Chime in with your impressions and show we have a lot of Gun/car Racers out there....
