Thanks again guys for coming out to the show. It is awesome to see so many car enthusiasts support a good cause. I am sure the Marines were blown away with the amount of support they got from the show. I know that they had to take several trips in their van to get all the toys outta there.
Great job to all those who attended or donated before hand.

Thanks for putting on an outstanding show. Well organized, good food, good cause, good people, nice venue~
It was an awesome 1st time experience for showing my car & winning a trophy for Import Daily Driver Best in Show, Editor's Choice (I think that's the exacts...). Looking forward to seeing the published list of all trophy winners!

Tom.. I am sure Eagle1, DaveO, & DeeDee will take that as a compliment! Our team has members from 17 to post 50's.. (we won't put an exact number on that
) Please do consider joining us.. we could use a few more "distinguished" gentlemen!
Coco.. now that you've got a taste, want to join us on the scene in '06?
whew.. happy people.. thanks, you don't know what that means to us! After the show, we usually only hear the complaints. The lady in the t-bird wanted to drive over me - and told me in no uncertain terms. A lot of folks that don't hit shows don't know what it takes for a group of 20 to put on an event like this.
Most shows you have to arrive by 7a and you'll get loaded in average of 2+ hours.
> Team Transport had everyone loaded within 2 hours! Including issues with Avis and hotel guests squatting in dearly needed parking spots.
Most shows have you there from 7a to 10p
> Team Transport... released you by ~430p
Most shows give you enough space for all you cars -1, and you can't open your doors very easily.
> Team Transport tried very hard to give everyone ample space.
A burger, dog, chips, coffee and soda at most shows will cost ya ~$18. Tea, hot chocolate, ice water & pasta are extra (if available). PLUS, show registration on average runs $55. Spectators are $18-22/person.
> Team Transport got you all that for $20-30 with linen service! Spectators were free (except for the toys they brought)
Most shows are in it for the $$; it is their business afterall.
> Team Transport does it for charity.. and what ever's left over after all the bills are paid this week get's donated to Toys for Tots. In fact, our FY2005 bank account gets emptied and donated to them.
A huge thanks to Superior Nissan (Puente Hills) for sponsoring the Z categories, Creative Autoworks for their raffle items, and Greg at Mossy Performance for his raffle donation and sponsoring the Nissan cat! We could not have done it without our many sponsors. A full list of all winners, sponsors and such will be posted later this week. Broken trophies are being worked on. Any outstanding raffle items, please PM me.. but I will be contacting you soon. We have a number of winners from online too!!!! But i need to match your transaction numbers with your tickets and then I'll post by this afternoon.
Thanks again and we hope to see you all next year!
Cheers, Ted & Team Transport
Final tally: 225 pre-registered, 235 cars attended and were judged, and
1,046 toys collected for the Marines

Ted at TeamTransport,
Although it was my first car show, I was totally impressed by every outstanding item you've noted. I had never thought of a car show as a "business" only as a passion and an opportunity to show off your treasure. I had no idea that people do these mods or collect specialty cars for the sole purpose of winning "stuff" or for notoriety or whatever. I just do stuff to my car cause I like it and don't care all that much if anyone else does or not. Thus the joy of sharing what I like with like minded others.
Congratulations to Team Transport for a successful and enjoyable event-a job well done for all those 'tots'!!! Sorry about T-bird girl~
It was also great to meet your wife, Kam. She was always helpful and pleasant. Even got a trophy pic with her!
Cheers,
Coco
