Default Calispeedway 9/23/2005 recap

I went back to the last private event this year at Cali Speedway. about 80 degrees and very thick air, the usual strong head winds and base 2200 feet elevation.

this is soooo frustrating, I am finally getting good launches but I still have not hit 11's at this track...

Here's my best run of the night, I have a video as well but haven't had time to encode it yet

R/T-----.748 (it was a solo run so I took my time to launch)
60'-----1.763
330'----5.101
1/8-----7.804
MPH---91.73
1000--10.154
1/4----12.125
MPH--115.47

I compared this with my best 1/8 run and it looks like my weakness is shifting into 3rd (I previously thought it was getting into 2nd but I seem to have that covered better)

Well, at least no one in Southern Cali has beaten my numbers as of yet...I still hold that bragging right

The track broke down after a car threw a rod oiled down the right lane and hit the wall, for about 45 minutes just to be shut down again 5 minutes later and this time they kept the right lane closed. So the last hour was all solo runs in the left lane.

I am getting fairly consistent 1.7 60' foots now (the occasional 1.8 ever so often) and went between 12.1 and 12.3 throughout the eve, I few bad runs as well, one 12.9 being the worst...
Coolest thing was a beautyful Porsche Allwheel Turbo running 11.4 at 133 mph...that was the fastest Porsche I have seen so far.

Overall a good night I can't believe I now have to wait till feb before they open again. I was the only 350Z, 2 300ZX's were there as well

Well actually back in March I got a 11.8@114, but that was due to the clock tower error. I ran with Dayton350 (he was clocked at 13.3@103) and we were both N/A. The timing tower never said anything to me about not wearing a helmet or rollcage, but the track police was all over Dayton 350 for not wearing a helmet.

It was a good laugh considering we both knew we were in the 14's.

Yes you, still hold the fastest time in So. Cal.
