Saturday - California Speedway - Marlboro Ride
My Grand Daughter Vicky - Entered a Marlboro Contest - And Won !!
We are to be at California Speedway at noon - They will suit us up in Marlboro
Team Drivers Uniforms/Helmets and take each of us on a ride of the Banked track of the California Speedway. My will has been made - so the Driver can go as fast as he likes.
There are the obligitory forms to hold the Company Harmless if we Crash, Burn or Die. A prefered parking pass that goes on the rear view mirror. A glossy Folder just for this event.. With a Panos, a IROC Z, and an IROC Mustang. Visible on the Cover, and Deeply Blacked out on the Interior.
It sound like a great ride! You have to sign a waiver that you are able to climb into the car through a window.. No problem for me.. Or Vicky.
I reviewed the Clint at California Speedway clip's - And we probably won't go as fast as his G35 Sedan. 135 to 150 at best. I'm hoping for the Panos ride..
The IROC Z Camaro is my second choice.. The Mustang - Old School suspension - eh.. It should be great PR for Marlboro. And great sport for us..
Cheers Amy

What a great day.
First a ride in an IROC Dodge - went 145-150mph. The G forces were awsum.
Second a ride on the road course in a Panos ( Georgia made ) Great !
Last Drifting on the AutoX course in the 2005 Mustangs - Beefed up rear suspensions and Hi Flow exhausts. Somewhat softly sprung compared to Hotchkis equiped - 350Z Canyon Carvers.. But the Mustang's body roll lends it's self for a fun ride.
And at lunch after the rides, we had a guest speaker - Rick Mears Four time
Indy 500 winner. Rick answered questions on a wide range of subjects, and Vicky and I had our pictures taken with him..
On the freeway coming home 60mph actually felt like 30mph. Had to keep looking at the Speedo to make sure we were moving.. Ha !
Cheers Amy
