+1 for street image.

Locally, I've seen springs installed for $75 to 100, so $150 for coilovers is about average. And Street Image is a cut above the rest in cust service and attention to detail.

+1 for member protocav

every single thing in my car was installed there and now two different alignment shops have noted the cleanliness of the installation of the camber parts.

here you go again ... must you try this everytime...

what, a chance to sit in a more comfortable shop than a person's garage (which by the way .. you don't have to sit in the garage with him, you can easily go watch some HDTV on his 43" plasma ... but hey ... I am sure every shop has that ) .... since basically you are paying to cover their overhead to keep that shop going and our local forum member luckily doesn't have that.

I guess if you want to pay more so you can sit at a shop while your work is done, then by all means ... just right on up to the more expensive shop.

Im recommending the best work Ive seen, that is all, im not afraid to spend money to know its done right.
I do alot of my own stuff, so Id stop yammering about me preferring to sit in a shop, but If im gonna pay someone else to do it, ill go to the best place I can find. (quality wise not name wise, like XS and SP)
he lives in diamond bar, street image is extremely close to him. I also can recommend my alignment guy who also does suspension installs and is a formula D driver, but he just has a hard schedule to work waround.

Well I'mnot going to start this war again but for a lot of us in SD protocav's work is the best we've seen. Every part on my car except for the turbo kit (which was done at Turbonetics during kit testing) was installed by protocav. I get tons of complements on the workmanship that went into my car by everyone from mag writers to Turbonetics chief designer. These are guys that went over all the mods on my car with a fine tooth comb for an article and for a testing session to ensure everything was in order and for two people that accustomed to seeing mods on cars to say that everything was installed both perfectly and "exactly" as they would do it says a lot to me. I've seen lots of people who can install parts following the instructions to a t but rarely do I meet someone who can not only do that but also understands HOW the part was engineered, WHY it was engineered that way, but can also explain it to me in terms I understand AND suggest what changes in settings or additional parts would best compliment the design of the part he just installed. Protocav being a mechanical engineer helps in that arena a lot. And you can be assured when you leave his garage the car has been treated as his own.

why the hell would you say that then. So, you are apparently not trying to start "this" again. You were, and you know it ... but now you want to play mr. classy professional and bow out gracefully by stating a proximity problem. How about just shutting the hell up

that post was to him for saying $150 is too much for a suspension install, not about protocav.

the first thing I posted in this thread asked where he was, if he had said SD, i wouldnt have suggested street image.

edit: I wouldnt have suggested street image futher*

Regardless of location I have seen Street Images work on g4s' rear Stoptech install and the issues he had compared to when he had protocav do the front Stoptech install. I still recommend protocav regardless of location. If I was in LA I would still have protocav do my installs and there are several people who live in the OC or even further north who drive down to SD just to have protocav do their work. That says a lot to me that he has customers who make the drive PAST some local shops including Street Image to have protocav do their work.

I am hoping you are cuban, or at least hispanic to be saying that ... that's a fairly racist and ignorant statement otherwise
