Default Moving to Orange County

Hey Guys I am on the move again. I am landing in Cypress California in about 3 weeks. Was wondering if anyone new any good apartments close to that area. Also if anyone could give me the low down on where to hang out and things to do. I would really appriciate since I will be new to the area.

Thanks in advance.

hey welcome to OC. theres a lot of stuff to do here but sometimes it gets old and repetitive. theres some good restaurants along PCH if you like dining out. there are some good local clubs if your into the clubbing scene. of course theres the beach, and all the theme parks n stuff. sounds tourist but really thats what there is to do here. i see your from wyoming, it will probably be a BIG change from wyoming =) and you landing in cypress were practically negihbors since im from westminster.

Cool I got to check that out when I get down there. I was down last week for the in person interview and the staff at the hotel told me to go down to Seal Beach. They made it sound like a good time. Have you partied out there?

Sorry, the state is full right now. Please take a number and wait in line.

Ah heck, you're a Z driver - we've always got room for those!

Lots and lots (and lots) to do in OC - drive down PCH to San Diego or up the coast to LA, or Santa Barbara. Las Vegas is a brisk 5 hour drive east. Camping, deep sea fishing, skiing (water and snow), hot air ballooning, off road 4WD, horse back riding, sailing, scuba, dancing ... heck there's more to do in the LA area than anywhere in the US when you really think about the limits.

Hey man there always room for Z!

Paul350Z Thanks for the list of things to do. Now I am really excited about moving out to OC.

I was kind of worried about things to do out in a new area. Sounds like I will never run out. Being that close to Vegas sounds like a fun playground.

How far is Mexico from OC?

LA is packed but theres sight seeing stuff to do there. the weather here is top notch, once u experience the weather here, you will never go back to another state. EVER!! but yeah, theres a lot of good places to eat. tell us what you are in the mood for and one of us will tell you the happening spot. also if you like to go snowboarding, mountain high is about an hour and a half away, or you can go to big bear which is 2 hours. theres indian casinos here that are like 2 hours away maximum if you feel like gambling n stuff. i feel like a tour guide but just let us know =)

Vegas 5 hour drive???? Are you nuts, you drive 60 or what? In a Z you can make Vegas in 3 and a half hours. Come on. You will love it out here and things never get old, you just have to not do the same thing every week.

skip2daZ - Thanks for insight on how far TJ's is.

IP Gthreefive- Albertaco will be the first place I check out. Mexican food is my favorite since I grew up eating it. Whats that Cypress College like? I thought about going back to get a second degree.

Ed 718-Thanks for the vote of confidence.

imseksy-Hey Bro I can't thank you enough for all the insight. I am sure where I get down there in about 2 weeks. I will be posting where the good clubs, bars, and strip clubs are....hehehe But you have been a good tour guide so far man. Really really appriciate it!

Navygolf13-Thanks for clearing the drive time up! Z's seem to get always get to places faster than most!

hmm... dont know about nice apartments in stanton, but theres some decent lodgings in cypress. anaheim, it really depends on which part, some are good, some are decent, and some are horrible. the really nice apartments are in irvine, newport beach and sor forth. but you are looking at 1,500+/month for a SINGLE bedroom.

imseksy-I have been looking in Cypress for a nice one bedroom, but the problem is know if it is a good place to live. Seems like Stanton isn't the nicest place to live. I know I wanted to live close to my work for the first year tell I get to know the place. Thats why I really want to live in Cypress. I found a nice place but I will wait tell I get down there to deciede.
