I put this up at the OTHER SITE too, hopefully we can get a good size caravan. You filled it up quick, as far as Im concerned if no one else is in and all the ones signed up show than it is worth the drive for me. Hell im goin anyway so I hope you NV guys dont decide to shack up in SoCal on Saturday. I need to buy one of those fancy new digital camera things that shoot video too. Otherwise I am still using film....but its Advantix so that tech is only 10 yrs old or so right...

 

I have both a video and a digital cam we can use. What are your feelings on leaving Sunday?

 

I have wanted to do a Vegas run with some Zs for awhile but I would preferr to do it on Saturday as I gotta work on Monday, plus I think a Sunday Vegas run will get very little response from the SoCalers. On the otherhand, just cuz I have no problem with leaving for Vegas at 6pm on a Saturday, gambling till the wee hours of the morning and getting back to LA at 10AM on Sunday with no sleep, doesnt mean thats good for everyone. I kinda figured you guys would be staying out here on Saturday anyway. Let me know what your exact plans are for heading back and I will take that Monday off. If Im the only SoCaler who can do it than thats fine, I will just organize another Vegas run in the future for a Saturday and we can meet up with you guys in Vegas and have a SoCal/Vegas meet then everone can do there thing and we can meet later to cruise home that evening or stay overnight and head back the next day. Either way I am following you guys back even If I have to take the day off and be the only Z on the way back to LA: So let me know if you guys are staying in SoCal Saturday and I will update the other site.

 

Definitely bring the Cam, there are a few great over passes that are connected to dirt roads that are always empty. If you get far enough ahead of the pack you can just get off the freeway and park in the middle of the overpass and get out and film the pack as it passes, should also make for some great audio. Look for these spots on your way out. I dont know exactly where they are but one of them is, coming from LA, just after the agricultural check point thing that is always closed(from Vegas, just before the check point) and there is another 1 or 2 spots like that between there and Primm. I usually stop at these spots and just park in the middle of the overpass and have a cigarette while everyone goes under me and then I get to pass them all again . Either way it should make for some decent pics and clips worthy of posting.

 

I will get a number for the guys that want to leave Saturday night and the guys that want to leave Sunday. Either way is fine with me.

 

I dont want anyone sleeping at the wheel . You know your limits, so select the day of your preference, I am good either way. If this is a Saturday Night run then in the future I will plan a Daytime run to Vegas and if its a daytime run I will later plan a night run, Variety is the spice. Post your date preference below.

Also I got a PM from a guy in the AZ350Z club he wants to have a Vegas/AZ meet in Vegas so I threw out the idea of having a tri-state meet. AZ/CA/NV, I figured we can meet in the middle in Vegas. The plans are VERY preliminary though. This will be at a later date. I would like to shoot for March or April.

 

Great idea, a tri state meet in March or April would be perfect I should have a fairly complete project by then. As far as this run goes, once we decide on the day I will start an official thread so we dont have to completely hi-jack this one

Cool, post the dates next to the names and once the verdict is in I will create a thread here and at the other site. I prefer Saturday but Im good with Sunday, I just think Saturday may get a better response from the SoCalers cuz Vegas is better on a Saturday night then a Sunday afternoon.

I dont know but I think it was 350ZNVs idea. Im in, just need a date. As long as it is not at the end of May cuz I am Zeeing cross country with the wife to MA to visit family. I should organize a small meet in every state we pass through. A cross country caravan would be great but it would also be a logistical nightmare

 

Yeah I will plan the Tri-State meet maybe in March or April. Probably April since the weather is usually really nice around then. Although it was 72 degrees here today! Sucks for snowboarding season, but good for driving around town...
