Hey guys, former G35 owner here. I now drive a M45 but still check the forum often. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up about the meet at Cerritos college this weekend. My cousin is a officer of the law serving the city of Glendora for several years. I saw him over the weekend for a family gathering and I told him about my plans next weekend which is going to check out the nissan meet at the cerritos college. Apparently, he knew all about the meet and from what he said they have been getting objectives to crack down on smog illegal motor vehicles, I think what he meant as illegal aftermarket performance parts. He would not tell me the whole detail but from what he said they have a force planned to visit the meet mainly for illegal aftermarket exhaust and SR20DET motors. But will def cite vehicles with aftermarket parts that does not have a valid Carb EO. When I asked him for more detail it seems that they have something in planning for this weekend at the cerritos college but would not disclose. He also said that the city have gotten too many complaints regarding exhaust noise and air pollution, and that they do not welcome modified vehicles in the city. He said they went as far as getting printouts of 240sx engine bays for factory parts comparison. Just wanted to let you guys know, I am not worried because I am driving a factory M45. But several of my other friends with turbo G35's and 240sx have decided to take other mean of transportation there because they know I never lie. Well, take this as you wish but I am not the one there to say I told you so.

I wouldn't worry about it.. Its aganist the law for a police to open your hood to check your motor. If you have something you don't want them to know what you have just keep it close..

 

another thing Brian is ANYONE weaving in and out of traffic and speeding will attract attention to them as any caravan would. So if anyone meeting at Cerritos want to us the 605 as a racetrack leave before us so we dont attract attention to us...please do not do anything stupid to ruin this weekend thanks guys

I kinda know what you mean Jen as it seems like only 5% of our old 3FiveZeroZ crowd is still around. I go to these meets now and I don't know hardly anyone anymore......I miss the old days also

Date and Time : Febuary 25, 2006 meet at 730 am depart at 8am sharp to get a good spot to park ( Space might be limited the earlier the better )
Meet Location : Cerritos Mall 605 Frwy exit South street on the South street side when you enter the mall from South St we will be either on the West or East side of the South Street entrance ( Depending on which side has more room for us to park ) but we will be there before most traffic and mall customers are there so we should be ok with room

 

You guys have fun on the run up to the meet. I will see you there, just keep it REAL stupid on the way there and we can see how many make it. lol

 

Hey guys.. I know the manager of that mall and I spoke with him today, and he has no problem with us meeting there prior to taking off. He wants us to keep it to the south east parking lot which would be south of the Allen Tire Co. and right by the Cathy Bank.

Ok, I am printing a full point by point map with pics. I will make enough copies for everyone, so if anyone gets lost (no offense) but your a dumbass. lol.

I was bored and I like exercising my creative mind, and I have a copier, so each page cost me like 2 cents in the long run or something like that, so I will print like 25 or 30.

They requested that we go around the college and come south on Barranca, so the map will relect that.
