That will not work.
Cops left me a no-front plate ticket under my wiper when I was parked in the Home Depot parking lot, even though I had the plate on the dash.

Really they can only f with you if you are doing something stupid.. if you see then waking toward your area just close your hood, they can't tell you to open it with out you agreeing to it. Also when you leave the even don't do anything that you know you will get pull over for.

I agree with everyone who stated to just act like adults and nothing 'should' happen.

However, if this information is correct, and the cops really don't have much to do but to satisfy the day's quota, they'll find any excuse. Kind of what has been mention... tint, f. plates, modified exhaust and so forth. It's happened before at shows, at LACR at Cali Speedway and a bunch of other places. It all depends on how bad they want to wait outside for a particular car...

I've actually called a flatbed once because I saw people were really being pulled over after leaving the track. It was cheaper to get my car towed home than to deal with the State Ref. B.S.

Hope this info is just hype and the cops are only there to either have a good time, or to simply control any extra traffic.

wtf? They cant do that! They cant ticket you on private property, and while your car is parked! Thats so wrong! I hoped you fought that ticket! You could have easily fought that ticket and won. You could have said that you took your license plate off to wash your car, and drove down the street to home depot to buy new screws to screw on your license plate

HOLD ON HERE PEOPLE!!! Let's not get excited about rumors! Jenny and I have been working with the Azusa/Glendora Police depts about this event for a couple weeks now. They aren't worried about the cars as this is a friendly meet not a street race. They said they will only be on patrol for people driving like idiots and showing off. If your cool... so are they!!

I agree with Jeff, there is nothing to worry about if you are intelligent and reasonable driving around the area. I do know though if the cops are pulling everyone over then I am calling a flatbed like Nastyboy said. I spoke with Ed last night and we both agree everything should be cool as long as everyone there is cool also.

If anybody gets harassed, you need to seek me out at the event. I now have some great contacts in the Depts we've been working with that would be able to help. Back to rule number one... don't drive like an idiot at or around our event. Respect the law, everything will be fine.

I also stressed the importance on my caravan which has grown to 30 cars to drive responsibly and those who want to act like idiots and use the 605 as a racetrack to leave before us. We don't want any attention from the authorities that would ruin this meet. The last performance meet went smooth without any problems at all.....I expect the same from this meet and we should respect the residents of glendora and the chaps from performance.

IANAL - In many localities, police have the right to any open area (private or otherwise) that is connected to any public road unless there is a physical gate or other impediment. This includes driveways and parking lots. So your garage is safe but the parking lot at home depot is not. Plus the owner of the property could also allow police onto the property. So just because you are parked in the beverly center (they have a gate) doesn't necessarily mean you won't get a ticket.

It is very common for local police to check out and patrol whatever events are taking place in their respective areas. As long as everyone is obeying the law there should be no problems. We've all been to plenty of meets, and usually the guys you'll see getting busted are behaving like children...

I am so glad I took off my 15,000 decibel exhaust! ...Its not as good looking with my stocker now, but its one less thing to worry about with the po'po's.
