Default I need help

Sorry guys, I'm brand new to this forum and I need help. I've been looking at Z's for about 2 months and am ready to buy. I just got back home from a dealer (the first I've been to) and wanted some advice.

I'm looking at a 06 Grand Touring with everything except navigation. The sticker is at $ 36,800. I played it real cool with them not seeming too interested but I really want the car. I told them all I want is to settle on a price, no worries about down payment or what I can afford to pay per month.

My question: In the So Cal area, what do you think I should be paying for this car ? Edmunds was saying the average price for this style in So Cal was about 34k. Do you think this is right ?

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum. I just registered so I could ask this question.

THANKS.

Default Hope this helps - car buying tips site

I found this invaluble......

Have to do some reading, but I think it's worth saving the money and not being 'got' by the car dealers.

Shop for invoice or under. I emailed all the fleet managers around my area and told them I was interested in a 2005 PPW 350ZR manual at invoice. This was last year in Jan. and received 3 dealers with my criteria. I used all 3 of them as leverage towards each other and got under invoice. Took me 1 week and 1 visit to the dealer but I knew what I wanted and told them bluntly that I will not settle for BS!

Best way is to contact Internet Fleet manager with your specs. I am sure they will call you back

If you want no-haggle price of ~$500 over invoice, go to costcoauto.com
best part is, the dealer will contact YOU and will find the color and options you want.

This is what I did, and I'll never look back
