SD Meet - Otay/Jamul - February 2nd
I would recommend the closest possible parking lot to where the drive will start. There's no way we'll all be able to stick together leaving Ikea and hitting the freeways to get down to Chula Vista.
Just my .01 (50% off for a limited time)

Since the drive starts at Telegraph off the 805, we should meet somewhere before that at a lot near the 805. I suggest we meet at the plaza of the 805 on Clairemont Mesa Blvd. There is an ATM machine there and a rather large empty lot in the morning. For those familiar with the area, it is where Ethan Allen, Tea Station, and a Vietnamese noodle shop is. It is a couple blocks from the freeway just past a Ford dealership.
I'm down for whatever is most convenient for all of you, but let's decide soon

I suggest that you guys meet up at the shopping complex on Telegraph Canyon, right before the entrance to Otay Lakes. It has a huge parking lot, a Mobil, a bunch of food places, a grocery store, and just about everybody meets there before they hit the twisties. Plus its really easy to get there(exit telegraph canyon rd, go east a couple of miles, and look for the Mobil station), then on top of that you'll be right at the begininng of the run.
It really wouldn't make any sense to meet far away from the starting point because some people may live closer to the starting point than the meeting place. I dont know if any of you live close to Chula Vista, but you get the point.
Oh and another thing, if you meet up by the Mobil you can do something that the sportbikers do, usually we will talk to some people that have already did the run and they'll tell us if there are any cops and how the road conditions are.
Man, I wish I was going with you guys.

I think 805/clairemont mesa is the best bet.
Tentative meeting time is 9am, and here's what i gathered as far as participants:
Ganz
Aloharacing
Lowfuel
nwind21
matix (maybe?)
sd350zee
hpz (maybe?)
n1k0
spacemanspiff
That's good for 7-9 of us...a good sized group.

Yeah what he said
At the very least we should plan to re-group here after driving down from Clairemont or wherever.

Agreed. The first meeting place is just out of convenience mainly because everyone can find the place and it is an empty lot. We probably will regroup at Telegraph to make sure everyone is ready for the drive and then go. I look forward to driving with you all.
I will print out some maps with directions too.
