just get a JWT popcharger, very popular among people here on the forums... its cheap (110-120 brand new) and easier to install than a injen cold air intake. and i think you gain more hp than a cold air as well. check out www.mynismo.com

Let's not forget AEM, they private lable the NISMO cold air. Personaly, I think you should be able to install any intake, except maybe the Injen, as that one requires/recommends the removal of your front bumper.
Try 4myride.com , if you don't feel comfortable installing the intake yourself, you can have them instal it.

Location.
Cold Air Intakes sit down behind the front bumper (thus, allowing it to pull in cold air).
The popcharger is just a big air filter that replaces the stock airbox. It sits in the engine bay behind a heat shield. It's SUPER easy to install, has decent gains compared to other intakes, has a nice sound, and is about half the price.

I say go with whatever you want. If you don't want to go through a lot of work installing the intake, go with the Popcharger. You can even go to an auto parts store and fabricate your own intake system. All the intake systems are pretty much the same, go with the cheaper one.

However, after a few years the JWT Popcharger is still the cheapest, easiest to install, and has proven gains. That's tough to beat for $130 new.
I say go for the JWT.
(Side note: I had the AEM CAI installed but swapped in the JWT due to severe flooding in my neighborhood a few months ago. Besides the softer less aggressive sound, I haven't noticed a difference at all.)

You can put it on yourself even if you don't know how to use a screwdriver. It couldn't be any easier. If you're worried, just get together with some local Z guys and they'll help.
Search...people have posted tons of links for them. If you look in the Classifieds here, people often sell them for around $70 or so used.

My intake was my first car mod EVER and it's a great place to start. After that I upgraded the stereo and then got an exhaust. If you can afford it, I'd go with an exhaust next (I had mine installed for me). But my best advice is to get together with other local Z's and see what people have done. You can hear exhausts in person and learn a ton.
I bought my popcharger used. You reuse the filter so when it's dirty you just have to spray it with a special cleaner ($10 at an auto store) and let it dry overnight. Good as new...so why not save a few bucks?

Popcharger. then after that go with exhaust..Nismo exhaust or Top Speed Pro-1 Exhaust..the top speed is really loud if u like that and also doesnt cost as much as other ones..nismo is good as well, but cost more and not as loud, but some ppl say the pro-1 is TOO loud for their tastes..just depends on what you prefer..

People say they notice gains but what I think they are really noticing is the substantial improvement in throttle response. I think it's hard for the butt dyno to feel an extra 3 to 4 WHP.
