anyone been cited for throwing a cigarette butt out the window??? how much was the fine?? i also heard you gotta do some trash picking as well.

 

i heard the fine for littering is around $1k and up....

 

i would believe that it would equal a littering ticket. if so isnt it up to $1000.

I've been pulled over for it before in another car...buddy threw his cig out the window and cop pulled us over. Good thing he didn't see the three 18 packs in the back and blizzzunt on the dash. haha.

yep... ive gotten a cigarette butt littering ticket in october when i still had my civic. i was smoking in my car, cop pulls me over, says i was speeding. told me to put the cig out, my natural reaction was to throw it out the window so i did. cop got my license and reg. came back 5 mins later saying she was only going to cite me for the cig and not the speeding. i was tripping out. i got a courtesy notice saying MANDATORY APPEARANCE, i went and talked to the judge, the judge gave me a fine of 65 dollars to be paid to the court, and i think its 75 dollars for the community service. so it was about 140 dollars. i got lucky. i only had to do 8 hours of community service, i still have all the papers to prove it too. luckily i quit smoking 4 months ago so i dont have to worry about that again.

 

You know what sucks more...when that cig. flies back and hits the nicely washed car behind you. I ****ing hate when people throw cigs. out the window. Someone threw one out their window once and it went INTO my front bumper and stuck to the radiator!!

 

The cop let me go..I have a way with them I guess. Although in the past month I've gotten 3 speeding tickets, I'll take care of those as well.

I would love to see them start pullling more people over for this!!! I stopped last year to put out a fire in the bark mulch in the median, some ignorant driver was finished enjoying his/her cigarette and decided they would share it with the rest of the world, flicked it out the window and started a small fire!(I believe its been reported to be the leading cause of brush fires)...real considerate

 

I hate it when people throw cigarettes out of there window. What sucks even worse is when your riding a motorcycle and the ashes and cigarette but hits you in the face...kinda makes you want to get personal with them...

 

i hate it when people do that so i hope you've learned your lesson...but that really sucks that u got caught for something like that

 

it should be around $1G for littering, this guy was smoking in front of Gold's Gym in Redondo a highschooler when he got cited for tossing a butt, he had to pay a grand for littering

 

Oh yea, at night you can see when it hits the ground and the thing explodes into a shower of hot ambers right on your front bumper...

I hate people that throw cig. butts out the window. I was at a red light once and some guy threw one out the window of his truck onto my ****ing hood! So I got out, took it off of my hood and dropped it into his passenger seat and said "you dropped this". He was so pissed, it was awesome. Luckily no damage to my hood.

 

$1000 is not enough to fine people that toss cigs out the window. What the F is the ash tray used for in your car! I will get flamed in a thread of smokers, but do yourself and all of us a favor and stop f'ng tossing **** out your window.
