Ive been told I could and there are a few resorts at the base and surrounding area.
Last time I went in December I talked to a girl coming from fuji on the shinkansen coming back from Kyoto and she was carrying her snowboard.
So i wanna go snowboarding there =)

SHO! Good luck on your new adventures! I haven't been very active in the Z scene for a while...work, life, moved to a bigger house and bigger mortgage payments, usual stuff that gets in the way of having fun. I still hit the Palomar/Julian mountains every 6 months or so...but I do it solo as I'm usually going through that area on the way to a family function. Got 70K on the Z so far.
With you being closer to the source of my next car...you'll have to keep an eye out for any GTR info for us!

My z is about 43K miles now.... still going strong but gotta sell it.

Good luck. I loved Japan the nearly five years that I lived there. I would have stayed longer but the US Navy had other plans for me and returned me to stateside duty. I had a blast there in the pre-AIDS times of the early 1980's.
