Concept Planning - LB Area Meet (North OC)
Just to toss the thought out there-- concept for the next meet in the Los Alamitos area, 605-405 junction area; also hunting for nice driving roads near here that'd be suitable for a group drive;
how does the Los Alamitos area work out for everyone, so far as distance is concerned? I dunno if the San Diegans will like coming this far, but it's closer to the San Fernando Valley at the same time.
I'd be willing to offer up my house for everyone; my house is also near the beach (connects at PCH, about 2 miles from here. easy to get to.) A couple Z's live in this neighborhood, too. Anyways contact me, I figure the 605-405 junction's a nice place to host; no?
Anyways lemme know, I'd be setting it up between march-april.

Wait! I figured it out! You joined the Z forum because its easier than shoulder-tapping at your local liquor store! Man, thats one helluva plan.
Anyways, I live at the traffic circle, so I'm down to meet up whenever.

Plans are coming together... dates TBA, tho
I'm still working on the planning,
but it looks like this:
Early morning drive on PCH along huntington beach, still undecided on that route, working on different route. (Any suggestions for routing for the drive are more than welcome.)
Sometime late april, most likely, for the sake of better weather.
Seriously tho, don't bring nothing but like, $5-10 dollars for food, your Z, someone needs to bring a copy of THE RUN -- for anyone who hasn't seen it yet, and booze if you're so inclined. (no hardstuff, beer's okay.)
Parking's not as bad here as it is around Ha's, so don't worry too much, and there's additional parking around the block at Hopkinson Elementary.
The pool's gonna be open, too, for anyone interested. rofl. Don't think that's gonna be too popular, but figured i should add that.
Suggestions for foodstuffs?
Anyways everyone leave your suggestions here.
Moderators-- could you please make this thread a notice or something?
It'd be much appreciated.
Dates and times TBA as plans are finalized!
So far, so good, though!
Thanks

you don't have to ask the mods, we can just do a final notice once the details are finalized and move everybody over to it.

Actually I'm about 5 miles from the beach, my pool's kinda small, it's only 9 feet deep, but i'm planning on having it warm.
And regarding the mods thing, posting the dates + times as a final notice would be a good idea too.
anyways, Iris, if you're familiar w/this area, d'you know of any good drive routes? I'm trying to plan some, maybe in the beach area through bolsa chica.
anyways thats all for nao

Drive Info:
Date + Time: TBA
Routing Concept:
Running over Hwy 47 (Vincent Thomas bridge) to Ferry St, from there messing around in the wide, unpatrolled harbor area. Primarily drift/cornering session, not so much top speed, but requires a little bit more skill and alertness than the Ortega Hwy run. (the harbor will also be much easier for me to have a set of filming posts along the way to catch video of the Z's in action. Sunday morning it should not be crowded.
Final routing through the area is being mapped, currently. Anyways leave your feedback, and it looks like the event will probably be going on APRIL 6 or 27
The location of the meet however, is set
Location for the BBQ--
2721 Copa De Oro Dr.
Los Alamitos, CA
90720-4911
I will advise if I can do something awesome, like rent out the community center so we get a whole parking lot to ourselves... I'll see what I can do about that.
Anyways; BBQ, or Pizza. I think BBQ + burgers would be good.
The run will meet elsewhere, but the BBQ will meet at my place.
Anyways leave your thoughts + commentary, and suggestions if you know of any better runs that are within 1/2 hr of CSULB.
Projected Date: April 6, or April 27
