People think Valentine 1 is God's gift to speeders. I think it's cool that it has arrows to tell the driver where it's getting hit from, but I personally think it's outdated. I have Bel Pro RX65 and it works great! Oh, I hear Bel and Passport are now one company and Passport 8500 X50 is basically the same thing RX65.

in the past I think they tolerated more of these because they wanted you to drive safe and by you knowing they are watching via your radar detector you'd slow down automatically....nowadays they will do anything to pull you over because it has become a big profit organization for them since they make more money pulling over cars than catching murderers and it's safer for them...

I personally go out of my way to not give them a motiv to pull me over.

I race at the track as much as humanly possible so that I get it out of my system and can drive like grand daddy on my way to work...

Can you tell me why Bel Pro RX65 is better than Valentine 1??
The Valentine 1 has arrows, what about RX65?? What things that makes it better than Valentine 1??

I want to get one of those too.

how is it outdated? It's upgradable and picks up signals perfectly with good range. Arrows in itself is worth its purchase.

The V1s arrows and bogey counter are worth it in my opinion. I have the Bel 65 Pro and it is fantastic. But I know I'd like to know where to look and know how many. As my statements earlier showed, having that is a NICE idea.

Radar detection wise they are both very good and neither is out dated as they constantly update the ROMs on them. And if you buy a new one, you get updated hardware revisions too.

I hardly ever speed. I mean I really do drive slow. But when we do get together for these canyon runs, yes, we get a little crazy. But we do this like 4 times a year max.

Are Radar Jammers Legal?

In the US, Federal Law bans the use of Radar Jammers. Their use is considered "malicious interference" which is prohibited by the Communications Act of 1934.

Who cares what direction it is coming from??? Just slow down for 5 minutes after the beeping - if it doesnt beep for 5 minutes - home safe - spead your wings!! My radar will pick up from 5 miles.

I personally don't care for the damn arrows also. If it beeps, you slow down no matter where it's coming from. Why do you NEED to know where it's coming from? You're still getting hit, aren't you? So you're gonna slow down, aren't you? You're not gonna keep speeding just cuz it tells you that it's hitting you from the side. STFU about the arrows!

I didn't know the V1 could be updated, so I take back what I said about them being outdated. RX65 has very good range if not better than V1, granted not in all bands but most. That's why I got them.

Again, arrows don't mean **** since you're gonna slow down anyway. Quit bringing that **** up. I'm gettin tired of this gay *** "I LOVE THEM ARROWS, ARROWS FTW!!!!11!!!1 HAR HAR!"

Arrows? Hey, the V1 one has arrows. Did you know?

Seriously though, in my situation arrows would have helped. It is fact.

Think about it. I had just passed a patrol unit. He was facing oncoming traffic blipping people. You could see him pointing the gun at us. So I never had reason to suspect in the 20 seconds since I passed him that he turned him self around. Not to mention I was out of his visual range.

So 20 secs later when I get this one bar blip on my detector, I hesitate to slow. Why? Because it is more than likely an echo off the canyon walls of his unit. This HAS happened many times.

Of course about 15 secs later I get a three bar blip then I now know it's ANOTHER unit up ahead. So I slow.

If I had a V1 I would have known instantly which direction and that there was more than ONE patrol car.

mr. q,
do you have a good amount of Zs in your group? Invite me out next time, as I'm always down for a malibu/angeles crest run or cruise.

It's an opinion. Some people prefer the one with arrows, some don't. I'm just saying that I'm tired of all these V1's ********** that swear V1's a God's gift to speeders.
