I mean they have no REAL way to know whether or not we were actually going to go race... which we weren't.

As for leaving the car parked and walking away... that wasn't much of an option because they said any cars left there without drivers would be towed.

Did those honda guys get towed because they left their cars or because of something else?

as far as the HONDA crowd went. i was the DB Z that was rolling with them. the one brown EG got towed cause the driver did not hae a valid drivers license. as for the other black hatch he had no VIN on his transmsission. basically they were giving them some crap and one guy had to show proof that the trans he had purchased legally had not VIN on it. i walked away with a front plate ticket, i have tinted windows but kept them down the HOLE time. the silver EK with the bright *** HIDs got away scott free cause he is all legit. the SI got a REF ticket for having a steel braided fuel line and FPR, BTW it also had a K20 swap in it.
other than that, who is down for Next week?

There is NO WAY that can be legal. How can they just break into a car.

Well keep in mind there IS an SDPD Substation RIGHT across the street. less than 100 yards away, i dont mean across carmel mtn. rd. but right next to panera bread. I didnt think we were doing anything that would attract attention from the cops so it didnt cross my mind that that would be an issue.

Oh yeah FYI - it is good advice that someone on the AWjunkies site said.. .watch what you say and the meets you post publicly on the forums... the cops know about them and I even heard one guy, when asked, tell the cop which forum he heard about the meet on.

hey guys, yeah that was me getting flamed on on allwheeljunkies. oh well, one of my friends talked to the cop personally and said that they were aware of the meet due to dragnet (a site which police go on to monitor car meets). There was also complaints about people speeding in the parking lot. however i did not see anyone speeding. ill try to get more info about what happened. im still up to having another meet if you guys are

umm DRAGNet is not a site. it is a specific task force set up by the SDPD to crack down on illegal street racing. yes they cruise forums, watch videos, and get "extensive" training in looking for illegal parts on cars, esp HONDAS. but there is no dedicated site for them

Well, I am glad that I did not go. I have been dreading the meet that I go to and the cops show up and are a**holes. What I can't belive is that a cop writes a ticket for a BOV and not the turbo????? WTF?
Also, does anyone know for sure whether the cops broke into the one car?

Someone needs to carry a video camera on them at all times. When the cops roll up, bust out the video camera and start filming. When they tell you to put it away, tell them it is your right and you want to be sure to capture any injustices on video tape, because you plan to go to court over any citations.

Ya my buddy Mark was the one who got ticketed for his turbonetics ST setup. He is the DB with Gold Volk GT-C's.

Here is his write-up on the situation.
