It was like 95+ in west LA on Sat & Sun, yet I somehow managed to help wash, clay & wax my girlfriend's civic, and also helped her move to a new apt. on sunday.

Yeah it's hot... man I never sweat so much in one day.

horrible
I got my coolant replaced with distilled water and water wetter again today, engine runs colder now and ac is stronger, I also finally ordered an oil cooler....if I can find a place to mount it. That should help with the heat as well.

The AC at work went out today and was out for about 3 hours...horribly hot

Hmm, where can I get this water wetter? I like to drive hard through the local twisties, keeping the engine cool would be a good thing.

you can get water wetter at any autozone, it's about $8 per bottle (you need one).
make sure you flush as much coolant as possible, 100%distilled water + water wetter gives you about 20 degrees less heat

Thanks, I think I'm gonna do that this weekend. Is there any point in switching back to antifreeze when the weather cools off again? Does it get cold enough to worry about that in SoCal?

It doesn't get cold enough, to switch back. Water Wetter also contains rust and corrosion protection so your engine is safe.

here's a quick demo on how it works:

So basically it's a surfactant. Not that I'd try it, but I bet laundry detergent would work pretty well too.
