Well a good number of the mercedes guys rented out a track in bakersfield called Famoso. Prolly one of the best if not the best track next to Sacramento raceway for drags as far as elevation is concerned. It's all going down this saturday.

35 cars signed up...8am start and we can drag all day til 5pm. So far, 15 benz's, 11 srt-8's, 6 bimmers, 2 porcshes, and 1 gtr. So far, out of the E55's, I'm one of the "slower" ones on paper but well see how it goes. I just got dyno tuned tuesday and the car feels ALOT quicker and smoother. I was at my friend's shop yesterday to hang and we got the spontaneous last minute idea for performance.

I'm gonna keep that on the downlow until after the track. After that I'll post up my results and what I did... Before all the mods, I was aiming for an 11.5 @ 120+(Under perfect conditions ie: launch, car condition, weather)....BUT we'll see what I can do for being the n00b driver that I am....

 

I feel ya...I was at my friend's shop in stanton. I went to pick up a part that I bought last minute for this weekend in irwindale and it took us 6 hours to get there and back. We got to the 605 / 210 connector fine, but when we exited....gridlock...it was bad...
