yeah he's ok. It's just one of those really unfortunate situations because i KNOW he wasn't driving irresponsibly. It was just bad luck on the freeway. From what i hear it was night time and he hit a puddle that made him slip.(at night headlights don't do crap on wet surfaces so he probably couldnt even see the puddle)
he regained control but somehow another car ended up bumping into him and he slid out again. The poopy part is the stupid CHP that responded cited him at fault for speeding under weather conditions... I wasn't there to give my own evaluation but i think that was a little unfair considering he got tap'd again after he regained control meaning someone was following him too closely or merged into him.. but who knows. Atleast he's ok.

if it was raining heavy enough, even 45 on the freeway with the right sized puddle, whichever tire hits that puddle will hydroplane across the surface throwing off the balance and make the car slide out of control.
given the road/freeway conditions around downtown LA, this is very likely to happen to anyone. There are potholes/dips EVERYWHERE. You might be going slow enough for the weather conditions on smooth surface, but that one puddle you can't see is unavoidable... I dunno, maybe i'm just biased since he's my friend and i know he's a good person that wasn't being ignorant to the weather.

Man it feels fuking scary driving my Z in the rain...I should be changing out my tires asap, but I keep buying other mods instead
On days like last night, I don't go past 40mph on surface street and don't even hit 70mph on the freeway.

Eric who are you gonna take the kit to get painted?
Although Shine Amuse kit is pretty damn good in terms of fitment, it's not V2 perfect.
I can already tell there's a bit of gap where the bumper and the fender meet on the driver side from the pic.
It seems like every single Z with Shine Amuse bumper I've seen has that gap on the driver side.
I'm thinking about taking it to Makito to have it fitted perfectly(as well as sides too)
