Hey Eric I see that you've been looking for LCD TV.
My advice would be to get a brand name TV. When it comes to TV you get what you pay for.
Trust me this is true and I've learned it the hard way.
If I were you I would get a TV with 1080P resolution if you're planning to get PS3 or HD DVD/Blue Ray player in the future. If not 1080P capabilities are useless.
Vizio is I guess alright for the price and has pretty nice design. I would still recommend Samsung or Sharp though.
Oh and make sure the TV has high contrast ratio..AT LEAST more than 3000:1

eric i agree with gsazabi but with the price range you gave me, this seems like the best bet. go big or go home! shell out the $200 for the 1080p and 5" bigger, chicks will dig it bigger's always better.. who wouldn't want an extra 5"? haha

LOL 3000:1?!!? i dont know what that does but the ones ive seen are mostly 1000:1 or 1200:1 ish... im leaning towards vizio 37... for $500. not bad eh?

yeah i got it.... heres the thing.
i dont have HDCABLE.. no ps3, no bluray, no hddvd... im just gonna watch DVD and korean videos... and SOMETIMES PS2... is it good nuff for that???

If you wanna just do that it should do the job. Just letting you know that the TV's black will look crappy(i.e. not so black) since the contrast ratio is 1000:1.
Also don't expect the picture quality to be as bright or vivid as top name brands.
But then, I'm sure you probably got good price for it so don't worry
