No reverse camera for me. I thought about it for a split second, but that was about it. I'd rather have a camera mounted on the front bottom of the car so I could see if I was going to scrape... or a thermal camera would be nice so I can drive at night with my headlights off. Not that I would ever really do that, but it would be fun to have.

 

hehe we'll see i actually have to get rid of my z first.... i can pretty much get suns car (e55) if i can persuade my mom... cuz the only reason she doesnt want me to get it is... maintenance, problems, high milage etc.. eh..

yea i've actually considered putting a reverse camera in front that could be activated with the switch of a button or something so i don't hit those parking curbs and stuff. scraping's gonna happen either way

 

what's the cheapest dSLR available? i want to be able to take good pictures without spending a sh!tload of money. i know some lenses cost a lot but im talking about just the body for now.

 

I think the best bang for the buck might might a Canon digital rebel. Both my sister and I have owned film based rebels and she now has a digital one. The quality has always been great and they aren't priced very high. I think canon also has some of the best color accuracy of all the digital cameras. I wish I has gotten another canon rather then my current camera.

 

digital rebel xt? there was some price error not too long ago and people were picking those up for ~400 at sears. i would love to get my hands on one...

I think it would be a great camera to start with. The automatic controls work really well and it gives you more then enough manual options to use as you advance. The nice thing is that all of the canon EOS lenses will fit on it. a store might try to sell you on a fancy lens that has image stabilization and all that, but its not always necessary. You can save some money and buy used lenses and have a nice wide angle and a nice zoom.

 

cool, i'm going to do some more research. so different lenses will only fit on certain cameras? i guess they're not universal huh?
