Brad, thanks for having us. The location was cool for the OC guys because we cruised for a good 50 minutes along the 405/10 which was really fun. I haven't been to 3rd street in over 5 years, so it was nice to have a chance to hang out with the guys down there although one guy kept *****ing and moaning

For the Z/G owners that came later, well you guys lagged it and we all left to go eat at Hooters. Once we got back we just left.

This man speaks the truth. The caravan was cool, but the moment we got to the meet, I was about ready to go. Good thing 3rd street was right there as I was able to chill and shop a little bit.

Are those Skyline owners on here? I had lunch with you guys and we mentioned track days, canyon drives and a possible GB on helmets. PM me or let me know if anything goes down.

I don't think people at all understand what is going on here. The business that we had the meet at is not car related whatsoever. We are a television production house. The general manager let us use his facility with the specifics that no one is to enter the building whatsoever. We have multi-million dollar clients and very high security and they did me a personal favor by letting us get together there. A business like ours is not going to let me charge money to have an event at their facility, and I don't even want to do that.

There was a bathroom 100 feet away at the library. Since when do you go to a parking lot for a meet and there's a port-o-potty provided by the person who put it together?

We also gave away about 500 bucks worth of absolutely free merchandise and didn't ask for one thing in return.

ONE person put this meet together. ME..so don't say "the organizers of the meet." There aren't any. I ALONE was the one who woke up at 5 in the morning to get the place prepared and setup.

This wasn't a car show, it was a casual meet and drive with extra free stuff provided. The amount of time I spent on this is huge to have zero gain and take flak about it.

I mean please show me where I promised anything more than a meet, prizes, and a drive, which is exactly what we did? I'm not sure but what exactly do you guys think I was selling or trying to accomplish? The meets are put together for people who appreciate other cars to get together and look at them.

But whatever, I'm not even going to begin addressing someone who says "I'm glad I didn't go." because I'M glad you didn't go.

So feel free, someone else do the next one.

Actually I came back here for one last post.

In the past I have volunteered my time to put together very successful dyno days, canyon runs, and meets like this. More and more people are too critical of these things. I had posted this meet up, then thought about it an cancelled it, then was asked to bring it back by a few people (not on this forum) so I re-posted it and promoted it on 4 forums.

I had not done a meet since Feb. and I wasn't planning on doing another one this year but I put my neck out and did this one and got sick in the process..

So this is my last meet. I am done! No more. Just the fact that I came back and saw these posts on the Z forums shows me that it's not worth it.

So those who came and enjoyed it, glad you came, and a lot and I mean A LOT of the 100 people that showed enjoyed looking at the cars there, even of the people who hated it.

Later guys.

Too bad....

I don't know what everyone expects from these meets. Bunch of dudes gawking at each others cars and chatting outside the message boards.

Maybe I was there too early (I left around 12:45) or maybe people were just hungry. When I got there it was just some people milling around in parking lot. Then most of those people left to go eat. To me there wasn't any clear organization and it wasn't clear that anything more was going to happen. I took some pics and left.

I appreciate the organizers for trying and I would encourage them to please try again. But they definitely needed to have a bigger presence. Luckily I lived a few minutes away, but if I had driven a long way, I think I would have been pretty disappointed. It was free (except our time), but I would have gladly paid something to go to a better organized meet.

If you do decide to try it again, a couple other things that I think needed to be addressed, I heard from some that when they asked to use the bathroom, they told them to go to the gas station. If you don't want people walking around your building, then charge $5 a car and rent a porta-potty. Something a little less egregious, when I asked if they knew of a coffee shop around they pointed me to the same gas station, a jack in the box and a quickie mart. For god's sake, this is santa monica. I proceeded to walk in the opposite direction and found a daily grind one block away.

Final verdict: Nice try.

Edit: Nice cars at the meet though.

Shut the **** up you **** sucker! It's because of your pansy *** that Brad has decided not to do these meets any longer. I hope your ****** *** is happy *****ing about people not sucking your dick at the meet? This meet was posted on over 20 boards. On those 20 boards there are alot of friends and at the meet those friends tend to hang out with each other.. obviously you didn't have any friends at the meet so instead of walkig up to the "clicks" and introducing yourself you come back on your little pc and ***** on the internet about how horrible Brad's meets are and how he can improve them by bringing out portable bathrooms? Do you have a bladder problem maybe if your lazy *** would just go to ANY of the 20 fast food places surrounding that lot you could have used the bathroom. Whatever man i'm not here to E-thug I just wanted to let you know that your *****ing has caused this Generous individual who had spent easily 5+ hours organizing this meet to stop.

Also to that ***** who said I'm glad I didn't come. Guess what punk nobody missed your ***

Sorry brad. You're right, I had no idea what you were trying to do. I didn't mean for my comments to be any kind of reflection on you, although that's how it was perceved, so sorry again. (BTW- my last comment about the coffee was a joke). I dont' know, I was under the impression that it was some kind of sponsored event. Didn't know it was just you pulling strings. Well anyway, I hope you don't stop on account of some of us "losers", and if you want some help or something next time, feel free to ask. I'm a stones throw away. No hard feelings I hope.

It was sponsored, but only to the point that the companies gave us free prizes. Nothing else.
