I am having problems with a loud whinning noise in my car while driving on the freeway at 70mph or faster. I need to take my car in and get it checked out before something seriously goes wrong. Problem is i have mods on my car and i need to know where to take it so they wont void my warranty or will they ever matter to nissan?
My mods are:
rims
lowering springs
injen intake
strup headers
injen catback
plenum spacer
JWT clutch and flywheel

There is NO, NONE, NOT ONE aftermarket part that a dealer can void your warranty. Obviously if you changed a part that part is no longer under Nissan's warranty.
Go to Performance Nissan.
Go to Performance Nissan.
Possible problem could be alignment. Poor alignment will cause the tires to make noise at high speeds.
Either that or you're just hearing the gears in the tranny or diff.
I seriously doubt your car is going to have "serious problems"
If you take your car into performance nissan, you should look into getting synthetic fluids in tranny and diff.

performance nissan is like 80 miles away, i already called them. Im looking for somewhere around the oc area since im in anaheim.
And no its not the tires. it only does it when i am barely on the gas and its a loud whinning noise like a bearing is going bad or something.
I have read up on here and a lot of people experience it but cant figure out what it is.

80 miles? thats lke oceanside distance from performance. would you rather pay for your repair or have it covered under warranty? (assuming its covered). as long as the mods donesnt have a direct effect on the defect, it should be covered under warranty
