hey peeps, im visiting l.a. to check out the floats after the parade in pasadena. any good stops i should check out?
not clubs or dancing, but any car meets, tuner car places etc etc
(married, with a teenager son whos also at the age of getting into cars)

You could always check out Super Autobacs if you haven't been there before. As far as "real" shops, I'm not sure any are worth going to just to see.

 

+1 on visiting Super Autobacs. Notice I said visit not buy, some of the stuff is a bit over priced.

I'm not sure if its going on every weekend but you should go to the exotic car meet at the Ford building in Irvine. Tons of rare cars showup to that.

 

You can also check out the LA Auto show at the Convention Center... I think it ends this Sunday 12/10.

 

Crystal Cove, I think it's in Newport.

 

for the wife, there is a new H and M store in pasadena. there's some nice canyon roads if you are into that kind of thing. get tickets to a bowl game. grab a tommy's burger in downtown LA or some pink's hotdog. as far as car events and meets, there are a few cruises but it looks like you'll be busy watching the parade.
