Did you see the black SLK that you guys passed, well that was me. I still haven't ordered tires for the Z, but felt like going for a drive. I missed you guys at the shell station, but thought I might as well drive up. When you guys passed, I turned around and followed you guys down.
I was following a white Z with dealer plates on the way down. When we came up on that cyclist, she (I could sort of see her in her side-view mirror) ended up passing him into a blind turn. Not really the best move. Be careful guys.

I wasn't riding her bumper guy. If you were the car in front of her, then your vantage point would be pretty much non-existent. Ask her yourself to find out if I was following to close.
When I say not the best move, all I mean is that it wasn't the safest move. She may not realize it, so I thought I'd mention it for future reference. Passing into a blind turn with no knowledge of what's around that corner is simply poor judgement. No need to get defensive guy.

actually, we did talk about it.
i agree it was a mistake to pass the guy on the bike. however i honestly felt you were so close that if i slowed down that quickly to stay behind him on that curve, you would have been all up over my ***. considering how fast we were going anyway, there was no need for you to be SO close to me.... at times i agree, you weren't, but a lot of the time you were less than 2 car lengths behind. on a regular highway/fwy/street i'd have no problem with that but when going down a mountain, that's an issue.
i did have a blast cruising down though.... i wish there was a way to get up top without actually driving, lol

I'm sorry if you feel I was following to close. The gap between our cars did get smaller when braking into a turn. Perhaps I got on the brakes a little later or a little less. Anyhow, when the straight came up, I allowed the distance between us to increase. I didn't want to follow to close especially since you didn't know I was a part of the group so to speak.
On the canyon runs I go on, many times, people literally drive right up on each others bumper and stay there. Some people are comfortable with that, and others get bothered by it. When I first started going on canyon runs/drives, it made me a bit nervous when people followed to close, but now I'm okay with it. A little distance between cars is safer like the two car distance you mentioned, but many times the people I drive with will be more like a 1/4 car length distance away if that.
This is actually the first time someone has complained that I've followed to close. You went on that lake arrowhead drive right? Well, I followed the Z in front of me pretty much like I followed you. In fact, the guys in front of me were following each other even closer.
I'm surprised you prefer going downhill. Personally I think uphill is more enjoyable as you have gravity on your side.
