Default Appliance repair in the OC?

Anyone knows a reliable appliance repair guy or company? I can just look in the yellow pages but I was wondering if anyone here has 1st hand experience.

Problem: (Magic Chef) Fridge: freon leak. Theres a small puncture in the freezer.

I was thinking of putting an all weather epoxy to fill in the small punctured hole but im just not sure if puting epoxy inside a freezer will be toxic for the foods.

Hope someone can help. thanks!

You can try Central Heating and Plumbing in La Habra.

when we were remodeling our house, one of the workers was cutting through a wall with the electric saw. he hit something hard and broke the blade. he replaced the blade with a stronger one and kept going. soon after, we discovered he'd cut a slice through our freezer, on the other side of the wall. he hadn't actually cut through any major lines [there were no leaks of freon or anything] so my dad just used epoxy to seal the cut back up. if you're sure there's a leak then yes, get it fixed, but if it's just a puncture on the inner/outer wall, epoxy should be fine.

I think there is a leak. I actually heard the hissing sound in the freezer and im pretty sure thats freon. When I covered the puncture my finger froze to white.

This is a 300-$400 fridge. How much am I looking at having this leak repaired and having freon recharged?

Do you think those repair guys in La Habra do home service?

Yes, they will definitely come to your place. I'm just not sure if what you need done is something they do. Just call them and ask.
