Okay, I've been asked to do a new thread on this.

Bobo is in the office until noon. He would like to do lunch and then a Malibu run. After noon is fine with me b/c of sleep issues.

Yuichi, I don't know what "tuna" road is (sounds dirty somehow) but Latigo is a LOT of fun and you won't be disappointed.

I'm sure kaiser and hfm feel like me and luv Latigo. Kaiser, is traffic still okay in the afternoon? Well, now that I think about it, it was fine when we ran it, which was pretty late, around 12. And fine when we ran it back around 2 pm.

So who's interested before I start thinking about where to meet up, etc.? And do people want to run it the downhill (which means meeting in the Valley) or uphill (which means meeting somewhere on PCH) way? I"m indifferent b/c uphill was more fun/safer, but downhill is more convenient for me.

The meeting time would be about 1 pm.

 

I think Yuichi is talking about Las Tunas drive.

But I will be down... Just let me know where you wanna meet up.

I'll be coming from South Bay. I can't come out tonite due to some previous arrangements and I hope I get my Z back today. LoJack installed.

 

Yeah, traffic will be fine. I've driven it at all hours, and it's not a very heavily travelled road. But I have run into people here and there, but they usually just pull over out of the way for you.

As for direction, it doesn't really matter to me. Going from the valley is prolly better for me since it's like running a loop for me. 405-101 to the valley, latigo to PCH, PCH back home. But whatever is cool with me. It's basically the same amount of driving either way.

crap, I was about to set it for Woodranch BBQ b/c it has awesome BBQ, but the one in Agoura Hills, which would've been so perfect b/c it's like 2 miles from Kanan, where we get off the 101 for Latigo, is open only at 3. SO....

Also very convenient, near the 101 freeway and on the way to the Kanan exit. I haven't been, but hfm says the food and parking situation are both good.

I mapped it from Redondo - up the 405 and off the 101, about 37 miles. So if you guys are working until noon, a meeting time of 1 pm would be plausible. ???

Is there anything Saturday night? If not, I would switch schedules to work at night to go on the meet.

 

no, nothing planned. we might hang out after. but at least 2 people of the original group couldn't do saturday nite, so I stopped planning that.

Hehehe, aww, that sucks. I think I'm screwed both ways. I either have to work from 10:30-6 or 4-11:30. So I can't really make it.

 

All you so. bayers, how about meeting at the shell gas station on 190th and crenshaw at about 12:15 for the ride up there?

 

Hmm, I think there maybe valet parking but only at certain hours. I recall early arrivals it was no problem with no valet, I'm not sure about afternoon. Regardless, it shouldn't be much and we should be able to pay them off to self park and maybe negotiate a group thing.

 

Will try to be there......my wife and I might go to channell islands, but if I can get out I will there.

Its about a hour drive since I'm staying in Irvine now. But if a run in windy hills I'm up for it.

I prefer to go up hill I suck at braking but I'm game for whatever!

Latigo was a lot of fun...you guys need to make a drive down to SD sometime.

 

I am getting dragged to Channel Islands agaist my will!!!!

I don't even get to drive my car! I have to put a friends baby seat in my Explorer to take them up.

I even said how nice it would be for you (my wife and her friend) to spend time with your parents and I "work around the house" maybe go for a drive!

well... I guess TOM JONES and I are meetin up at 1215 in Torrance/Gardena.

From there barring any traffic on the 405 or the 101 we should be at the Cantina place at 115 to 145.
