Yep, and it looks like things are only going to get worse.
I don't think we should be pointing fingers at the police for their enforcement practices, rather we should be speaking up against the politicians who are pulling the strings to stop modified cars - instead of passing legislation to increase driver training and awareness.
Honestly, I'd rather more people took performance driving courses to understand the dynamics of driving than see the police wasting their time trying to enforce noise violations.

Damn, I used to drive that way all the time when I was at UCR. Goes to show that if you race on the streets (and I don't know if these cars were racing or not), sometimes the life you lose is not your own.
But now targeting all modified cars is such an off focused reactionary measure. It'll die down after the impact of this sad story wears off.

More links in case anyone is interested in the crash story. All the names released so far are asian. This story really hits close to home for me, as a UCR alum, Asian, and many of my friends did the same thing back then on the 60.

Not to mention, the articles claim they are/were friends from UCR.

i rather be a coward than spending 20 years in jail.
Nah, I'm not full of, but I'm glad u admit to taking a cowards way out.
Not once did I mention `confesing`. All I stated was simply doing the least and calling for help. For all I care u can lie and say anything without admitting guilt, but atleast letting someone know there was an acident.
What if that was one of your family members who needed the help? You would honestly be glad the person who may have caused the accident left the scene and didn't bother to call for help?
To each his own then...

Well, if I were the z4 guy, I honestly would call for help but I would say I just witnessed the accident, tell the location and hang up....no way in hell will I ever confess I'm in the z4 and risking myself to get nailed in jail.
