Hey what's up... I went to undergrad at UCLA and I'm now in grad school (PhD) both for chemical engineering.

I don't have much time right now, but shoot me a PM and I'll tell you whatever you want to know.

 

Do you still live on campus?

 

North Campus: Hot girls & Jocks, Non Science Majors, beautiful trees and grassy knolls. Anderson business school is there, great place to drink coffee, study, and oogle hot blondes.

South Campus: majority of Girls that look like dudes, All Science Majors, fantastic computer labs but alot of construction, semi-conductor lab is great experience, as well as the machine shop and hands on capabilities to build a ton of stuff.

library is great, facilities are decent, parking is horrendous around campus, UCPD pick on modified cars, crime is relatively low, the final-week undie run is dope, most People are great. you'll get your so cal types once in a while, stuck up and everything has to do with fashion, but there are always a few like that.

the gym is FTW!! wooden center is by far one of the nicest school gyms' i've ever seen/used.

Campus is small (~3sq miles), dorms are relatively new, they added a ton of new buildings since i left, my cousin is a first year there right now, but i heard first/second years that are staying are getting triples.

I met my fiancee at UCLA, so yea. its a good place to be

I know it, but not that well, but my friend goes there and he can prob give you a tour, he seems to always have a lot of free time.

I have no damn clue. All I know is that he parties a lot and the girls are allows around him, so hes a good guy to know.

No I don't live on campus anymore. Generally most people move to the apartments after 2nd or 3rd year. Keep in mind I'm in grad school now, I've been at UCLA for 7.5 years. The PhD program will keep me here about another 3.

I'll give you a tour dude... I used to work for parking services so I know all the ins and outs of the campus.

I dont want one of those tours by a politically correct student guiding around a bunch of parents and potential students...

 

you should just pay $7 (or is it $8 now?) park in lot 6 and just go walk up and down bruinwalk and ask the people around there what they think about the campus and just explore. if you get lost, go to powell/royce courtyard and hold your ID above your head. this is the UCLA symbol that you need help and a student will come help you

i'm pretty sure you meant school ID but.... considering he's asking for a tour i dont think he goes there yet?
