sorry to hear my bro had limo tint on his Supra before and got a tint ticket in OC

OC seems to be notorious for tint tickets as so i hear

when i was 19 years old, i was at the Block in OC bumpin' my downtown kicker L7 in my Bimmer and i got a ticket for loud music

costed me $103 luckily my date at the time felt bad and paid

can someone clear something up for me, in CA, i thought it was legal to have your rear and back window limo if you wanted, and i thought the driver and passenger windows were allowed to be 35% ... did it change or something? why are people getting pulled over for 50% tint when it's barely anything? some benz come with that kinda tint when you buy it and you dont see cops harassing them, hell, you'll most likely see the cop give the nice person a wave and be on his way ...

you can use certain medical "conditions" as reasons to get tint..you'd have to keep a doctor-certified paper in the car... people get it for eye sensitivity to light. hmmmm i wonder if i can get it for skin-sensitivity?? i should talk to my dermatologist about this.

yup, it sucks, I think that they are cracking down on tint. My Fiance got 2 tickets in a 2 week period because of tint on her stock IS250.

In CA, you can't have any tint whatsoever on the front windows. This has never changed.

To the OP, if the box is checked NO, then you will have to pay the fine. There is no sign-off when the NO box is checked.

i always believed the above was true but i guess The Tech probably knows more because im not certain since the tint shop told me that but probably just said it to make a quick buck

I don't know if many tint shops offer ticket insurance..but the place where I had mine tinted offered it..basically if you get ticketed and get it signed off...they will retint 100% free of charge..only if you keep the receipt.....

That's pretty nice. The only place that I've ever dealed with will remove the tint for free if you get a ticket, but that's about it.

Actually the law specifies you can have tints in the front but it has to be 88% visible. My moms Q45 has factory tints on the front two windows, they are completely legal and they are a very very light tint.

So if there is a very light tint that only permits 88% of light or more to shine through then its legal. Just like the stock benzes that have the blue tint.
