*CAUTION: Long Post Ahead*

I know there has been alot of threads about Detailers and such I know since I had been researching as well. I thought that this might be a great oppurtunity to learn something new and worthwhile. I think with a little bit of guidance from people with experience with using Zaino we can all learn how to have magic in our hands. I really want to be an expert at using this stuff and maybe even make some extra cash doing my aunties and uncles cars LOL yeah right., but in all seriousness this skill can come in handy.

I've been researching and have been meaning to detail the Z and waking up early for the meet and seeing the 510 with a better shine than my car man I was determined to get my dignity back.

Zaino Products & Dawn


This is what the weather permitted me to do. All by hand, but I'm planning on getting a Porter Cable and after that its GAME OVER.
Rinse-Wash with Dawn (2 passes)-Rinse-Clay-Rinse-Wash with Z7 -Rinse-Dry-Z5 with ZFX -Z6 (spay mist)- Z5 with ZFX- Z6 (spray mist)

I gave up cause I was pretty tired then. I should of done a Z2 and then Z6 (spray mist) at the end, but I was happy enough with the results.

I'm an amature so this was my first attempt, but I'm more than satisfied with the result. I did the bare minumum too and it came out so (Borat) "NYYeeeeice".

Possible meet:

The Distributor I got all the products from is a quite a character (in a good way) him and his wife were some of the most genuine nicest people I've ever met kind of like the Jeff & Jenny@Westcovina of the detailing world. I spoke to him when I got all the Zaino products to hopefully do a "Zaino Tutorial" day to show how to properly apply and use Zaino and he was more than willing to. He just told me to get a couple of my friends together. I mean its pretty simple just read the directions and stuff, but there is nothing like seeing it being put on by someone with experience and knowledge. just PM me if you guys want more info.

Nothing is definite yet, but I thought that it would be wise to get the ball rolling and we can get everyone to start talking about the date location and such. My driveway had plenty of room maybe 4 cars worth, but I think we could just to someones car as a DEMO and everyone else watch or participate. I would think Sunday would be a great day.

Anyways, i have been looking at the zaino line also set up a meet then we can get this started!

Tom told me to go to ihop, but when I didn't see his car there I just left. I wasn't too hungry either I had 2 of those mini-me orange juice boxes and some egg, but it would of been cool to hang out with the people that went as you can see I ended up working my *** off that morning.

 

haha, anyways, just get the hks exhaust. i was trying to look for you before we left to ihop, but then again you were already heading there. i thought that you wanted to hear the exhaust.

 

LOL yeah man thanks for the advice on the Exhaust. As for the date so far the day will be SUNDAY probably in a couple of weeks (2 or 3 weeks from now). I'm going to go ahead and give him a call and try to set up a time with him so we can do it. I think I might volunteer my cousin's brand spanking new Versa as the Demo car since its New and we can see the actual product being worked on an untouched car.

 

coool i want in! i have 2-3 weeks to save up for a full zaino kit!

 

im down just need it to be on the weekend and need some type of set date/time....ive been meaning to purchase some zaino just seems like a lot of work and hassle esp since I dont have a place to wash my car for 2 hours..(i live in a building)

Looks good. Did you do any paint correction prior to applying the Zaino? Zaino is a great product in terms of durability. You should be happy with it.

 

After I get the Date/Time we can start a list. I'm going to a park to see if we can set up something there if we get too big of a crowd I doubt it will be neccesary though.

I think after the demonstration we can do a lunch/cruise/photoshoot. I'll talk to Klackey for his Photography skills.

 

i'd be down to come watch/learn.......especially if we do a run or cruise after

I'll post an update tommorow, but the date is pending. I'm going to talk to the Zaino distributor and see if I can get a date from him when he's available, then I guess we can get everything in order with our availability.


I was going to PM you about the possible run/cruise that we can do after since you seem to be very familiar with routes and such.


Date is Pending , but definately will be a Sunday morning/afternoon.

I will get the availability dates and post them up, then we can choose a day.
