Okay I am officially grossed out...I am deathly afraid of bugs and creepy, crawling creatures. If I saw that "child of earth" thing...i probably would have passed out and it would've ate me lol. Good luck ED!

that thing is big enough to have as a pet. go ahead and take it with you on a stroll around the park. I wonder what the reaction of people would be.

weren't those in the movie Aliens? The one that ran around and got on peoples faces?

It is an illusion. Look at the size of the pliers that are holding the spiders on the top of the screen in comparison to the camel spiders. Those spiders are only about 2-3 inches in length. I have had friends in Iraq who told me that they are big, but not as big as people who have never seen them, make them to be.

yeah, I knew that, this picture has been around for a few years now. Just though it was funny compare to the guy in the back ground, you can see the sleeve of the guy holding them.

this?

aka Wind Scorpion?

i actually had two of these puppies as Pets when i lived in Lancaster.. i found both at work, one in China Lake, and the other actually crawlin in the hallway @ my office.. i had a bug tank so i kept em in there until they finally died.

they freakin TEAR APART spiders and flies like no other!! ftw!! they like shadows and will actually chase you..

the picts of the ones in Iraq is an optical illusion. they're not that big at all. the north american variants are like no more than an inch or two...

i named them Frank the Tank and Francine the tank ( the bigger the jaws = female)

boy.. i miss them.
