The pix on the first page reminds me of chow king in the PI. Anyone remember or heard of it? That halo halo reminds me of the good ol' days.

 

I dunno why i've never been addicted to Halo Halo but its very good stuff.

Very sweet tho! I dunno how Max's does it but some also puts condensed milk.

It's those kind of deserts that I wouldn't mind having a cup with my non-flip friends.

Halo-halo (from "halo" = mix) is a favorite Filipino dessert or snack. It is basically a mixture of sweet preserved beans(red beans, chick peas), coconut meat (macapuno), jackfruit (langka), pounded dried rice (pinipig), sweet yam (ube), cream flan (leche flan), shreds of sweetened plantain (saba), filled with crushed ice, milk (or coconut milk) and topped with ice cream. The halo-halo basically is sweet, creamy, and a filling dessert.

This Filipino concoction is quite popular during the hot summer months (March-June) in the country, just as ice cream is. It is usually served in tall, clear glasses that show its colorful contents that tempt one's taste buds. EDIT: Is there an alternate spot for parking? I've heard from people that if your car is lowered, you'll have a hell of a time trying to get on the parking lot... Not to mention that there will be a boat-load of people (no pun intended ) attending this meet.

i know across the street where the pepboys is there's a HUGE parking lot. you can fit like 500 cars haha.
