I bought an Avic Z2 and love the unit.

Only problem is that it puts out quite a bit of heat. That combined with the double din unit in the 350z being almost completely enclosed means that the hot air just pools inside and the unit over heats.

I am having a lot of hard drive failures I believe to the heat and the unit won't start up any more.


So, my question is, are there any Orange Co. area shops that can help me install some sort of method of cooling?


I bought some small 12v dc fans but when I looked at the double din unit I'd have to drill through 1 piece of metal and 2 sheets of plastic to get a hole to the inside and I am really not that skilled at this.
