Yup, the import car culture did begin there... and was also ruined there. Thanks for that.
Slow track times? You're crazy. I'd like to see you guys run our times on that wonderful Cali gas.

i just spent the last four days driving around southern california. there's no way in hell you atlantic ocean-humpers can compete with what socal has to offer. from the san diego skyline to downtown LA, lightning storms lighting up the san gabriel mountains all night, then those same clouds looking beautifully puffy against a deep blue sky the next morning, the stark desert beauty that makes you seriously stop and reflect on how the **** we all ended up living out here in this sandtrap, then an hour drive the other way, the sandy beaches filled with beautiful people that answers that question.
while it may be argued that our shops, tracks, tuners, and gas aren't up to par to what you guys have, we still live in california, and you live in the mid atlantic. we win.

why are you mid-a guys such haters? just admit that you're jealous
plus, all the consistent bashing on so cal just proves how insecure you guys are!!
Q: why in the world would so cal region start a thread in the mid-a region proving they are better?
A: No need to prove something we already know!!

The Appalachian mountains are stunning - I spent 4 years in some of the most serene landscapes I have ever seen. If I had my external HD with me I would show you a picture of the sunset here, it's absolutely amazing.
Granted, the desert is pretty sweet especially at night (spent some time in Nevada) and the Rockies are gorgeous (drove from Vegas to the Grand Canyon). I don't doubt that SoCal has some cool stuff and beautiful scenery, but to say that the Mid-A can't compete is a streeeeeetch.

Oh.. and.. we figured SoCal was an easy target .(actually your a big regional forum.. so it'd be more fun than picking on the Iowa sub. forum)
