Most are by Paul Black @ Outerlimits Tattoo (waiting for artwork for the next one) http://www.outerlimitstattoo.com/... got a couple other small ones but no pics - they all mean something but would take too long to explain – no regrets with any of them… the right arm dolphin has gone through 3 incarnations, started as tribal, changed to f-ed up dolphin, then Paul fixed it to what it is now… wish he did it originally
(was going to post thumb nails but file sized are too big)

I think tats can be really cool if that's what you're into but I'm a hardcore Mod so tats are pretty much sacriligious unless it's a microscopic (super subtle) Vespa, Piaggio or Innocenti (Lambretta) logo. However, "regular"/"trendy" tats are simply not anywhere near acceptable for my life style (Modernism).
I'm certain that most of you don't have a clue as to what I'm talking about because we're way, way, way underground but if you google English Modernism or Paul Weller or The Jam or vintage Lambretta, you might begin to see the full picture. You could also rent the movie Quadrophenia for clues.
Anyways, if you're into tats; it's all good. I merely wanted to demonstrate another perspective. In other words, just because someone is painfully cool (not unlike most Mods) doesn't mean that they're necessarily into tattoos.
So (IMHO) if you've chosen a [no turning back] lifestyle like my good friends (hardcore punk rock), I think it's all good. Otherwise, (IMHO) be the herder, not the sheep. Develop you're own sense of style and be the person that others copy rather than the inverse. Be original!!
Most of my non-Mod friends are hardcore punks so they're all COMPLETELY sleeved up with vibrantly coloured "Liberty" style spiked mohawks and it does look beyond cool but it just aint Mod. [i.e. if you're going for the JDM style, you wouldn't be caught dead with a gigantic Mopar decal on your 2008 Skyline GTR.]
In short, Just because I appreciate cool sports cars doesn't mean I've gotta be a mainstream/hip-hop/top 40/"what's everyone else doing" lemming.
For me, it's just not my scene at all but if most of you think it's the "in thing" then it's all good. I respect everyones' opinions. I feel everyone (unless you're a creep w/no redeeming attributes) should be happy. Life is entirely too short.
Keep it super mellow and have a legendary weekend everyone!!!
P.S. If you live near Reseda, Nature's Natural Collective Care (6951 Reseda Blvd.) is having their huge monthly sale today (9/20/07). Their prices cannot be beat! They have Bubble Gum crossed with OG Kush for less than $50 for an 1/8!! And it's incredibly dank!! They also have Hawaiian Guava Kush (super strong/super tasty) for the same price. Perhaps I'll see some of you in the vaporizing room. Heh. Heh.
