We can stop for Julian for sure. I'll have to tweak the route a bit. I'm starting a list of people in post 1. Driving time..we will leave at 830A and I estimate we should be done around 1200-1230P unless we get lost!

Last time I was there (two weeks ago), we didn't get a chance to try the apple pie as they evacuated town due to the fire... LOL

 

Yeah, that sucks. Hope it didn't do too much damage to the scenery up there.

 

well that can't happen! I know that I personally will want to slow down and view all the scenery that I can! Maybe breathe in some of that crisp cool mountain air!

 

Ooh... this is a tough one... Sparco's having their garage sale that day, and some guys and I are planning on camping out.

:edit: eff it, I'm coming... didn't have the cash to spend anyways and I'll have far more fun driving my car than buying stuff for it.

wasn't the thread 2 weeks old before we actually did it, gave people time to come on the forums whenever and check it out. lately, I keep seeing more and more Z's on Miramar RD. and they have yet gone on this board and posted today, saw another blue Z with those piaa spoke rims. I know the other owner of the same car but its a convertible with the same rims. he came out once for the fudd meet. anyways, anyone wanna go to Claim Jumper on friday? most likely ill be going the following day for the canyon run. are we making a SD group to drive up there? or is L.A. not joining us this time.

 

Don't think anyone from LA is coming...though last time it was really only one person from LA, oneDirtyz. I have a couple of other friends (FD, STi) who may tag along.

 

Thinking about joinging you guys for this cruise. Any rough idea as to what the route may be? I know start at the gas station, then maybe julian,,,any more specifics by any chance?

 

Interested. Are you guys doing 4hrs of straight driving or stopping at places along the way?

 

There will be a few stops along the way to take pictures. And a longer stop in Julian if anyone wants to get some pie. We will finish down in the Alpine area long I-8.

 

I want to go, but I might be in vegas this weekend. This is especially tempting since I haven't gone on a canyon drive for months.

I know everyone wants to have a large group, but smaller groups make for a faster pace. Ten or so should be more than enough.

If I go, I'll probably depart from the group sometime around Julian as that should make for about a two hour drive back home.

 

looks like im going to be working on some cars this saturday in my garage. anyone want to go out again on sunday for a run?

 

ok,,,count me in, my boy Cisco will be rolling with his Z too. I'm pretty excited about this, I've never been on a run before. Any idea on how many cars there's going to be. Maybe a quick photo shot will be nice.

 

F*ck! I have to work! Just found out my boss is leaving the country for a week and I have a couple returns I have to get to him this weekend! DAMMIT ALL TO HELL!!!
