18x 10 in the rear *getting new track wheels possibly* ideal offset

Default 18x 10 in the rear *getting new track wheels possibly* ideal offset

the front offset is fine for the track wheels ill be getting next it is 18 x 9 + 22 but the rears are 18 x 10 my choices are +25 or +15 i would want the lowest possible but im not the greatest guy with offsets... your advice would be appreciated

definitely +15, if you look at some pictures of the Work Emotion XD9's the rears on those are 18x10 +18, that will give you an idea of where the +15 will be at

25. i think 15's would put aot of stress on your hubs with all those hard turns

+15 all the way. I wish I had gotten +12 for my Time Attacks but they dont make them Thats why im running spacers in the rear to make it look more aggressive. Push the limits with the +15 and roll your fenders !

My buddy had 18x10 +15 in the rears and they looked amazing with a good drop.

get the +25 (unless the concavity is dependant on offset) and use a 5 mil spacer if you think it's needed.

actually depend on what tire size you will use. if you put +25 you can run wider tires without messing with your fenders. I think a 315 out back would look cool.

I have a +20 10.5 inch rim and I would go no further... running alot of camber in the rear is stupid just to fit a certain offset just to say you have a +5 offset OMGBBQWTFHAZXORA!

Offset can help you if you change it significantly. You can make you track wider which= better handling. But you will only be able to tell if it is a big change where you be require to use fender flares or a widebody. But there is a whole lot of other stuff that goes with it that is too complicated, like suspension geometry and stuff like that.

he said track, track=more agressive camber settings as opposed to street.

and btw, im running -5 on my 19x10 rim and i "only" now have like -1.8*of camber....omfgwtfftmfwbbqlolrmeiirc

I am very surprised the rim stays in the fenderwell at only -1.8 on a -5! did you raise your car?

and again, I was not only referring to camber. moving the track width has different effects on handling other than just camber adjustments

its dropped to right above the tire.


yes, track width can also be messed up when changinging offsets giving you either good or bad.
i agree with the affects of offset to the hubs and other parts of the car to a point, but the main stress will be on the actual rim.

true, what about handling characteristics?

even changing the width of the tires on a stock rim/track has effects on all sorts of things.

also, do you have a current pic of your rims? I can't remember what it looked like at the final suspension settings.
