Every kind of tire shine ive used will spray black spots on the sides of your car, i go for a ride and later on i quick detail the doors and stuff. I cant imagine how much more it would spray with wheel spacers.

Anything with a sponge applicator is great, sprays are messy. Ive tried like 10 diff kinds of shines.

I bought this cover from a car shop a few years ago. Its like a plastic bowl that has a handle in the middle, I place it over the rim so that no tire shine will get into the rim.

This stuff also has an adjusting nozzle to adjust to the type of tire you have "Low", "Normal", or "Wide" for the right side wall. Love this stuff!

That stuck works wonders....I use to use that one before the purple gel one...and it was quick and easy...but do try and keep it only on the sidewall...a lil bit on the tire and you'll be spinning for days...

My wheels are flush with my fenders and I don't get any spots if I use the right amount. I actually use a Zaino polish applicator, works perfect! I don't like sponges because they disintegrate and that also gets all over the car. Just need to use a very small amount (like one line per tire) and spend some time rubbing it in.

i like the wet look though so i use a good amount but i rub it in good so its not oozing all over the tire.

http://www.lexol.com/vinindex.html

+1 for vinylex. you can get it any pep boys, kragen, whatevers.

reason i use it is because shiny tires are as silly to me as shiny dashboards and seats. your car's inside isn't shiny when new anyways and neither are your tires.

makes your tires dark but not shiny and it dosent end up all over the side of your car when you start driving.

Father put it a good way. Washing car, etc, and not shiny the tires is like putting on a nice tux with dull shoes. Its that little extra to look sexy.

Vinylex makes your tires look Brand New. They have a slight shine to them, but not overly done as if you drove through a vat of grease.
