Default Resale value vs. replica parts

Hey guys! Try to hear me out on this...

I have a replica V2 bumper right now and I have some thoughts of letting the car go next year.

The car is in fair shape. No scratches, 19inch Work S1s, GReddy Exhaust and GF210s

I scraped my bumper the other night (bad scrape), matched with my sandblasted (rock chip) front end and im nearing on having the bumper painted. But this crossed my mind.

Should I just invest on a nicely painted OEM bumper with a (genuine)lip than go with a replica front end if i sell the car next year? (Just a lip isn't my thing since I love how the V2 looks)

Does it even matter? Do I lose value? Do i retain value from the parts i put?

What's your take on this?

thanks guys!

Putting an oem urethane bumper and leaving it as is would probably yield more buyers/trade in value than a fiberglass aftermarket one. Adding a lip would not matter. If you are selling private party, usually the buyers would buy any bumper as long as it looks good since they are buying a modified car anyways.

I wouldn't mind making it almost look like stock.. but my scenario is...

I have Veilside CF sides, and I was just thinking of geting an OEM bumper and throw in a CF veilside front lip just for the sake of making it flow.

Selling it with just the bumper with the sides just looks half baked to me imho. I dont wanna take it out, cause i dont want to sell it with just a drop on rims.

You should try parting out the wheels. Getting a pair of oem rims with good tires and cash. You have some nice wheels on there.

I would just go with the cheapest option. If an OEM replacement bumper is the cheapest, just do that. Then simply tell the interested parties that you drove up a sloped driveway which cracked and knocked of the CF lip which is why things might not flow. I don't see a bumper (any style) being a deal sealer/breaker for someone in the least.
