Second cruise for me. This is the route:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=e...4,0.63858&z=11
If it rains, cruise will be postponed by one week, to the 15th.
We meet up at It's A Grind at 6:30-6:55AM. (Labeled "B")
We leave It's A Grind at 7:00AM sharp.
Ortega is not a long route. Depending on the number of people participating, we may stop for some photos half way through, but this is only if more than 5 cars are participating because that road is a single lane, but 2-way traffic.
We will be at Farmer Boy's from 9:00-10:20AM for breakfast (labeled "A"). If you want to meet up after ortega, meet me here at 10, and not 10:25 because I stick to a strict schedual. Arrive a couple minutes early just in case. This will be the only stop made so all participants will gas up here.
After this, we will cruise down the freeway and enter the wonderful road named de luz. It is a dirty road, and I recommend washing your car after, and not before this cruise.
De luz Is incredible, with lucious green scenery, and almost no traffic.
Once complete, assuming everything went smoothly, we should be leaving de luz at around 2PM. We will take the 15 back to the 74 and everyone who wishes to follow, I will take ortega back home.
This cruise will most likely turn into a run unless a couple of drivers want to keep it calm.
Any questions, please address them in this forum.

A couple suggestions if you don't mind. Early is best for traffic, but will not yield a good turnout. And such a long route will keep people away. A shorter drive along with a later start time will yield a much better turnout.
If you want to do an Ortega drive, it should be kept to an Ortega drive IMO. Same thing for a De Luz drive. I know you have separated sections and start times, but sadly, most people don't pay attention to these details. Just keep it simple.
I mentioned this in your last cruise thread, but it's best not to post routes to begin with. Anyways have fun.

As for the trackday, I won't put that much stress on my car. Same distance, just more high-reving fun on the track. Good for you if you do go to cal-speedway. Hope you have fun.

Don't do Ortega right now. They're doing construction on it for 2 more years (1 year down, sigh). They close it down to 1 lane and are flagging traffic through. Once that happens you'll never get out of the traffic it creates.

Thank you for the warning, but I am sure everyone is aware of the construction.
However Ortega is the fastest way to Deluz.
You gotta take the crappy roads to get to the good ones.

After the construction on Ortega, find a spot to pull over... I usually do it right after the amazing S turn. Wait for all the traffic to pass, then wait another couple minutes... the road in front of you will be empty.
I would love to go... LOVE to go. In fact, my favorite place to eat from Florida (buffalo wild wings) is about 5 minutes from where the cruise ends. However, lojack is installing my system that day.
No, **** that. I'm going. Put me down as a definite. I'll reschedule the lojack.

I drove through Deluz today. The whole way I crossed paths with ONE other car.
Here are a couple teasers
No street lights, just a couple stop signs.
Notice the oak trees covering your vertical clearance

This is one of the most dangerous parts of the road. You can not see it in the pic, but there is a DOUBLE bump that is PERFECTLY timed to throw you out of control

And this will actually be your turn around spot. This where Scandia/Deluz and Murrieta/Deluz roads come together.
