hey man, I just read an article here in maryland they are busting down on tinted windows claiming "it's dangerous not being able to see in a vehicle, might be carrying weapons/drugs" BS. I think it's a 60 day process they are doing

as long as your FRONT windshield isnt tinted they can still see from that. and i would roll down my window, but at night time in a cold *** weather, rolling down the window is pretty obvious.
hey Mike Lee I think im going to get tints done to my car maybe next week. what do you think about 20% in the rear and 35% on the sides? thats what i had on my prelude before.
and you said you get hookups, how much for tints? im in pasadena is that near the place?

that is why its good to have Nevada lp's. they always stare at my tint (15%) which is not too bad, but once i pass they usually leave me alone cuz of my lp.
then again, if you have been here for over 10 days i am now under the california restrictions...but they dont ask =)

Reason for police to not allow front window tinting is because it inhibits your view as your driving.
Reason for police to not allow driver and front passger side window is because they can't see you or what your doing if they are pulled up next to you.
So keep in mind if you are in the middle of Compton with a 64 impala slammed to the ground with 100 spoke 10 inch rims with limo tint all around. As an officer, this can make them nervous.
Theres a easy way to get out of tint tickets without removing your tint.. I've done this and heard of this from my friend. 2-3 weeks before your deadline on your ticket(the date you should have ur infraction corrected) they'll send you a letter asking you if you are innocent / guilty, trial by written declaration ect ect. There is an option to just pay for it. I did that, and I feel it was worth it. I think it was 125 dollars or so, so that saved me time. Retinting and what not, getting it signed off, all that is worth my 125.

yeah i think there is an option of paying. but im getting a new driver side door window and i needa retint my passenger side (some scratches inside of the tint) so i might as well do it all over. stylett, you are right.. but i think it should be the drivers option to tint or not, obviously if we can't see **** while driving, then we shouldnt be tinting our windows. as for the police saftey, i see where that is coming from. but for a police driving from an opposite lane and busting a u-turn just to give a tinted window ticket, is that really necessary?
that sounds like a decent percentage for tint. but yeah, i go to school in pasadena.. promax is in alhambra, about 10-15 min away. just PM me or something. im pretty sure we can get good hook ups since steve knows the person who works there and on top of that 3 z's going.

We need tint that we can control the darkness of by turning an electronic dial.

I got the a ticket for tint and no front plate one street away from my house. It was at a 4 way stop and the cop wouldn't leave the stop and I stayed there for a good 3-4min waiting for him to go pass me. He didn't leave so I just went and sure enough he pulled me over as soon as I got out of the intersection.

but i was on las tunas waiting for the green to make a left onto SG blvd. a cop from the opposite direction drives by and looks at me and busts a u-turn.. so right when he busted a u-turn i knew i was gonna get pulled over. so as turn left, i get pulled over.... the officer askes me to roll up my window and tells me its illegal to tint my window, so i got a ticket for illegal tint... i think its pretty lame how cops pull ppl over just for no front license plate or illegal tint. its pretty much a waste of time.
funny thing is last week i was thinking about getting my window replaced from a big scratch on my driver side window, so i told myself, " fu*k it, ill just wait till i get a ticket ".. and bam, i got one. i guess i asked for it. $10 ticket + a waste of time.
well another forum member got one couple weeks ago too, so now we're just gonna strip down the tint, get it fixed, and retint. i think the z looks better with tint IMO. so anyone else planning on a tint, let me know.... we get hooked up on tints!
