hey i dont know where you guys are located but i've recently discovered some siiiiiiick industrial areas that aren't closed/locked up at night that would look amazing as the backdrop to a photoshoot, in the sun valley area, specifically where tuxford street goes under the 5 fwy. just an fyi.. the industrial backdrops are stunning.

it doesn't look awesome during the day but the areas are lit up SO AMAZINGLY at night.

and there are these huge electrical... thingies.. i have no clue wtf they're called, the huge metal transformers? right close to the street.... it's a no-parking area but at 4 in the morning who cares... i did snap a pic there early this morning at like 430.. haven't uploaded it yet though.

 

if you could just take a picture one night with ur car so we can see how it looks like. if anything we'll drop by there next time :P

 

ugh my picture taking abilities are questionable at best but i'll throw my tripod in the car today so when i drive by the place again i can take a decent night photo with my p&s.

Yes sir, its was me!!! Could have been better but we were short handed with the number of Z's. I still gotta give you credit for the Z outline though Tommy, we didnt know why the hell you were running for in the beginning till we saw the pics.

 

lol yea i was wondering wth tommy was doin too - just running between our cars w/ a flash in his hand - i thought he was losing it :P

god i'm dying for a rolling shot of my z.. i wanna see what the anodized blue lug nuts look like against white wheels, while rolling.
and i won't let anyone else drive my z.. so i can't see

Sometimes you have to especially if none of your friends know how to shoot... I let my friend drive my car for this one

 

here are some horrible pix of the area.. it's amazing though. parking lot is big and relatively flat, with many different possible backdrops. great driveway that i can't imagine anyone would scrape on.

 

looks great! something different. we gotta find a position where we can get more lighting though. i think we'd be down to shoot there one day. ill PM you or AIM you when we have time.

 

oh i forgot to mention, that's with my powershot sd500 at +1/3- +1 exposure, with no tripod. with a better camera, a tripod and a longer exposure i'm positive there's enough light to get some sweet pics.
