THREAD UPDATE: PICS ON PAGE 2!!!!

Hey Guys,
There is Loma Linda University Charity Car Show next month June 1st 8am-6pm and it'll be a fundraiser. I will be participating as well. Spread the word out this will be for a good cause. Plus, its ONLY $20!!! After talking to the organizer we have only 2 import cars registered so far since majority of the local guys here are Classic American car guys! Only 2!!! ....so lets represent the younger generation/newer car enthusiasts like yourselves by making our presence known! The organizer is asking to see more of the newer generation cars there. It'll be a nice to hang out on a Sunday and just enjoy a variety of beautiful old and new cars! afterwards will be perfect for an afternoon drive =) Please let the word out to any car guys interested in displaying their pride and joy.

If you guys need a registration form just post your email or PM me your email and i'll send you a PDF file that you can print at home. The Deadline is MAY 24. If you need more info - Ask for Jennifer. You can E-mail her ( llusacommunity@llu.edu )

i know there are alot of Z's out there. Anyone interested in showing?

 

I know there is Extreme Autofest on June 1st but for those who dont want to make the drive to San Diego this will be a cool alternative. If you appreciate well-preserved and well taken cared of cars from different makes and models and from all eras, you'll love to see this show. Last year I was amazed at the cars that you see that date back to the early 1900's. Guys in and around my area drive their vintage cars around town any given sunday with their loud non-catylized exempt American muscle cars. This will be fun. Today, I went to the location of the lot where it will be held and it is gated and lots of room. I'll be driving my car there which is pretty low and seeing where we will be entering and the leveling of the lot, i'll have no problems with clearance since i'm particular of where i drive. so thats a +1 for me

 

Man this is so close to my house, but i'm actually going to AutoFest! If I would of known earlier I might have gone, you never know though, might change my mind or be too broke for gas to make it to SD.

 

exactly, gas isnt cheap these days. If you or anyone you know that maybe interested in coming out to support this charity fundraiser whether it be Car, truck, bike, classic, muscle, exotic,etc....let them know. do the organizers need any volunteers to work?

 

not sure but you can email the main gal organizing the event - Jennifer (llusacommunity@llu.edu). do you have something in mind?

 

oh i just wanted to do some volunteer work, that's all. it's for a good cause, and it gets me brownie points in the navy

 

Will do! One of my team members works there, but he's already obligated for AUTOFEST as well, but things could change with gas prices

 

If you could get my car on display off the grass I am in! LOL.

its a great event for a great cause..

 

the grass actually doesnt seem like grass you have in your front lawn or backyard. its more like golf course grass that doesnt sink. It's a pretty compacted surface. I'm really picky of where i drive since my car is a show car and lowered as well. When i went there myself i saw that it was actually a really good location - away from all the unwanted attention of busy streets and its gated.

Tomorrow is the last day to pre-register $20. After, it will be $25 at the gate.
