For custom work, I recommend www.DTMAutobody.com. I should be picking up my car from them this week for a complete color change!

Seems like every month some one always asks this same question. Any way we can just have a sticky with all the recommended bodyshops?

Anyway, try Grand Prix Autobody in Downtown LA. They've done all my cars, a couple of forum member cars and a bunch of exotics.

Whatever you do...DO NOT go to JT. They suck so bad it isn't even funny. PM me for pictures of their work if you want. My personal recommendation goes to 2020...they do really good work.

When I had my nismo usdm sides and rears painted...I took them to Seidner's, right across from WCN...and I was able to get hooked up pretty good. I paid 200 dollars for them to paint my sides, rears, and my blitz spoiler. My sides and rear came out flawless, but my blitz wing had some dust embedded into the paint because i guess they laid it out to dry. For some reason, my sides and rear were perfect...just a thought.

makito does not always do good work people/ i had him paint a fiberglass front bumper for me and the paint match was not good. I ate it reasoning it was prolly bcuz my z was three years old. but i then took some pieces to mobworks and they did a better match. imo. however i must say that makitos pricing was good. there was no orange peel or waves either just not a good paint match.

First body kit i had i got it paint from jt auto body rear, sides, and lip for $750, the paint was close but a bit off.

The second bodykit i got painted from Autoexplosion in gardena, paint match was perfect, they charged about $800 for rear,Front, sides, and add ons.

I wanted to see if i could possibly find a better price just because im kinda low on money right now, i might end up going back to auto explosion.
